Game Night: A Trip In and Out of Reality

[Eight Star]

33 Cherry Street...
At this address lies a small yellow house that's been up for sale as long as anypony in town really remembers. The for sale sign was removed early yesterday, and it seems the new resident has happily invited the town's resident Ponies & Perils group over to try out his game.
The inside of the house wasn't full of as much stuff as the other houses in Ponyville, but he had a long oval table with seven different seats around it. Also, expecting someone shorter than a pony, Eight Star had prepared a much shorter seat, specially for a Fox.

Aside from the ponies (and fox,) who are from the Ponies & Perils group, a butterscotch-colored pony named Quill also shows up, specially invited by Eight Star.

After the proper introductions, Eight Star and Quill get to know the group, and after the initial character creation, Eight Star takes his seat.
"Alright, I'm glad everypony's here, everypony has their characters. Now let me give you a bit of background into the world...

Equestria, not long from now, falls under turmoil once more. The warriors of harmony, the six ponies who saved the land multiple times... have died valiantly saving the land once more. In the battle known as the Terror of Thanatos, the six ponies used the last of the power they had, and used the last of the power from the elements of harmony is forever banish Thanatos back to other realms.

Now, the elements of harmony have been destroyed, and Princess Celestia has gone missing. Princesses Luna and Candice, who are left with the royal throne, have sent out a startling request; for a group of adventurers up to the task of finding the next elements of harmony."

Eight Star grins. "Unlikely or not, that's the story I've got. What do you think? Shall we start?" He scans around the table at Quill, J, Legion, Aurora, Dark Shine, Jhera, and lastly over at Tyro.

[Silver Shield]

Legion nodded. "Sounds good. Let's go."

[Darky]

Dark Shine smiled.
"I am liking the sound of this game. Whenever you lot are ready."
He had a glint of determination in the corner of his eyes.

[Quilliam B. Inkwell III]

Quill raises a hoof. When called upon, he adjusts his glasses and says, "Actually, It's Princess Cadance..."

He nervously glances around at the rest of the group and lightly coughs. "Right then. I'm ready when you all are." He nods to Eight Star.

[Eight Star]

"Ah! Cadance!" Eight Star smacked a hoof against the table and grinned, looking over at Quill. "You know... I think you're right! I've never been very good with names, after all. She is the pink one, yes?"

Then he shook his head lightly. "Anyway, everypony and non-pony settled?" His eyes shifted over to the small table.

[Quilliam B. Inkwell III]

Quill chuckled nervously and adjusted the position of his Dianmond Dog figurine. "I'm ready."

[Delphinium]

Jhera nodded neutrally. "Ready when y'all are." he said quietly.

[Sick Lollipop]

Aurora was placing her dice in order, each row gleaming in different hues, Daress the Dragonslayer figurine standing guard nearby. She pushed her glasses up her snout, and grinned at Eight Star and the others. "Sounds awesome. When do we start?"

[Darky]

Dark Shine looked at his, custom made, Rifter figure.
His right claw was mup and his left paw was out. He was in a noble pose and his eyes seemed life like.
Dark Shine had spent hours modelling and painting him, but it was worth his time, it would seem.

[Tyro]

"I have my liquid fuel right next to me. I am good to go!" Tyro said leaning over the table as he gets comfortable in the bizarrely well proportioned chair he'd been given. Just the right height off the ground, with just the right amount of back support than other seats made for larger ponies meant that he'd probably been given a filly chair...Ah well, there's ample room for his tails to waft back and forth behind him, sweeping the same floor space repeatedly.
"Also, grammatically, just treat me like a pony. We'll be here forever and a day if you have to stop to add "and fox!" to everything. Anyway..." He sits back and grins. "What we doing and where, oh Game Master!" A slight wave of the paws for dramatic, or more probably comedic, effect.
