That's kinda like Role-Playing. Anyway, I am willing to have a go at being a full staff. Allow me to review my general skills and talents in a more wordy and descriptive manner than in the Roleplay Applications.
Top 3 Related Skills:
Linguistic - Yes, I talk. I can, through the use of our common language and through understanding the other ponies, come to a conclusive understanding about almost any situation. My language skills are generally capable of morphing to those I'm conversing with, allowing me to be understood by most ponies.
Fair Judging - I can, without hesitation, look upon a situation with a much less judgemental point of view. Stepping back and taking a non-biased point of view is a skill I've developed from the situation I had from schooling, and I present it as a skill and a warning. If elected as a staff, I would be gravely against taking favorites, and when it comes to dicipline, I would make sure each situation got equal treatment.
Calm When it Counts - There are many people who are frustrating to deal with. One of the most important things to take into account is that generally they are just confused as to why they can't just have things their way, and need things calmly explained. A fine line defines when someone is legitimately just getting confused and upset over something... and when they're just arguing for the sake of argument. Watching for the key signs of either case is one of my skills, and helping ponies understand why things are the way they are is something I can do.
So that's what I'm good at. Problem solving, advisory, and big words.
However, I'm not going to be so arrogant as to say I come without flaws, and it would be unfair of me to go on without listing those as well. Key points about these is a fair reason for me to just want a specific location on the boards.
Top 3 Related Flaws:
Topic? What topic? - I'm not exactly good at keeping things on topic. Actually, I'm very good at talking a lot and rambling until the topic train has transferred into tropical terror. (Unicorns and their words...) As a matter of fact, I'll take most of the thread types in the RP section as suggestions. It's like buying a house and being told that there are 4 bedrooms in it, and turning 3 of them into a playroom, a den, and a craft room. I've been caught "chatting OOC on character sheet threads" or "having character sheets in an OOC thread." Both of which I think are a little ridiculous.
Yes, I Have a Job - This eats up about a third of my time, with sleep being another third. Add in a game or two and some art and there goes my time. Lucky me, I can access the site from work, but there are some things which don't work properly, (for some reason, I can't comment on blogs... don't ask, but I can't watch YouTube from here either so... meh.)
Rules to a Fault - When it comes to enforcing specific rules, however, (I mean, other than keeping topic,) I'll be very specific about the wording of the rules, and through evidence I will give discipline based on the rule itself, not always the intent. I would rather re-word the rule for later and warn the offending party of the re-wording and that they would have to be "more careful next time." I guess this could be good in some ways, but most sites prefer someone who bases rulings on intent, not specific wording. I'd just rather the wording of rules evolve to the point where they would exactly reflect their original intent.
Anyway, that's my bio/application/ramblings. Have fun with that. I assure you that if made a staff member I would be sure to visit the site way more often than I do now. I've already proven that I can be on it like, every day. It's just recently I've had a lot of tooth pain and no will to RP... and that's my main reason to be here.
'Kay bye.
