I just have everything subscribed. So all I do is click on "Settings" and all the posts made come up in bold.

That's EXACTLY what I do. When I'm bored, I will either hit "settings" over and over until one of my subscribed threads is posted in, or I will hit "new posts" and look for something interesting.
