Radio Applications

I would like to put in an application for a Radio DJ position. I am currently on summer break, so I have quite a bit of spare time on my hands hooves. You won't have to worry about me suddenly losing a lot of time when the semester starts back up, as I am taking online courses. So I definitely have time to commit toward this important position.

Lurking in the chat is my specialty, and I have been privy to a few situations that needed to be moderated (and a DJ did just that). There have also been several times where somepony has wondered what a song is, and I like to not just answer, but provide a link to that song in the hope that they might explore music by that artist. I know the rules of the radio chat, and feel like I will have sound judgment when a situation arises that calls for a moderator.

A minimum of three hours a week to devote to DJing is something that I can definitely do, but I don't see myself trying to outdo the 25+ hour records. I am subscribed to several brony musicians, and check their new content on a frequent basis. I even keep tabs on musicians not familiar to me that the musicians are liking on YouTube. Music is one of my passions, and brony music is no exception. I have no qualms asking musicians the radio doesn't have permission to use their music. In fact, I asked one of them before because I wanted to see their music show up on the radio, and introduce their artistry since it seemed like not very many bronies were aware of them.

I am incredibly organized, so uploading songs to the song library and creating/sorting out song lists would be right up my alley. As a few DJ's can attest, I have requested several songs that were not on the song list in the radio. I also put alphabetized, organized links to musicians I want to see show up on the radio and new songs by musicians we already have. Sometimes this is due to the site having the song, but it has not been added to the song list yet. If you decide to give me the opportunity, I will be sure to double check this to keep the discrepancies minimized between the songs on the site and those on the song list.

A few of my strengths that I feel lend themselves to this position are focus, consistency, empathy, achiever, and relator. With focus, I can take a direction, follow through, and make the corrections necessary to stay on track. This allows me to prioritize, then act. Consistency allows me to treat everypony equally when there is a clear set of rules to adhere to. Empathy means I am able to sense the feelings of others by imagining myself in their predicament, which bolsters my strength of consistency. The Achiever strength gives me a great deal of stamina that allows me to work hard. I take great satisfaction from being busy and productive. Relator as a strength means that I enjoy close relationships with others. I find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal, which will make me a valuable part of the team.

Here is my schedule as it stands for the summer (note: all times are GMT -7 or U.S. MST):

Sunday: 2 PM-3 PM; 5 PM-7 PM; 10 PM-2 AM

Monday: 12 PM-1 PM; 4 PM-5:30 PM

Tuesday:12:30 PM-1:30 PM; 5 PM-7 PM; 10 PM-2 AM

Wednesday: 12 PM-1 PM; 5 PM-7 PM; 10 PM- 2 AM

Thursday: 12:30 PM-1:30 PM; 3:30 PM-4:30 PM; 7 PM-8 PM; 10 PM-2 AM

Friday: 12 PM-1 PM; 5 PM-7 PM; 10 PM-2 AM

Saturday:12 PM-1 PM

This is the bare minimum that I am free. More time can be added as needed aside from Monday and Saturday evening. I'd like to apply for the radio chat moderator post. And eventually a DJ position, if needed.
I want to do this because I have been confronted with trolls several times before, and unable to do anything but waiting for a mod. I can easily fill in these moments, due to having a lot of free time. Also do I want to help making this site one of the best ones around, and keep it clean and enjoyable for everyone. I myself enjoy being here.

I am very interested in becoming a DJ. I love the music and i love the site. I am on the site about 30 hours a week max 8 hours min. I can definitly take DJ shifts on saturday between 6AM and 8am as well as 10:15AM and 4PM. I'd like to apply for the position of chat moderator, because while I would like to be DJ, I feel that I should get used to having the duties of a mod first, then later applying for a DJ. While I do like to joke around in chat, I know the limits and will not push them, and will make sure others do the same. I also dislike it when stress arises in chat and will work to make sure that the radio is a happy place for people.

When I return to school right after labor day, I expect this to be my weekly schedule for when I can get on:
Monday - Thursday: 1 a.m. - 6 a.m.
Friday: 1 a.m. - 8 or 9 a.m.
Saturday: 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and 1 a.m. to around 8 or 9 a.m.

I'd like to apply for the radio DJ. I've ben wanting to become one for awhile and i've have some experince in music making. I'm usally on the radio chat and now that school has started i have lots of free time on my hands and i think this is a good way to spend it and get some good experince out of it. for my weekly schedual i'll be on usally sunday, wensday, friday, and mabey saturday from 7pm to 11pm.

Though I am new and haven't done much, I feel I can uphold this job. Though I have a real job outside the interwebz, I can always find time for whatever I'm in charge of. I feel like I could take the job of becoming a radio moderator. I'm only on the radio chat (mostly around 3/4-10PM (GMT+2) ) because I like it better and I feel like I would want to help with the moderation of it. Nothing more to say. :3

I would like to apply for the Radio DJ. Even though I don't have much time on my hooves, I feel I can do this. I can contribute about 2 hours each day, which would leave me no challenge to pass 3 hours a week. I know the radio chat rules and if anything is going wrong, I will step up and throw that problem to Discord's world. (haha see what I did there? haha, haha, no.. lol) I know a lot of good pony/brony music and I visit Youtube at least once every day to see if there's any new good songs. And I can tell you, Vinyl Scratch is my friend's roomie, so if I need any help what so ever, I can get it. It would be an honor to be accepted. Thank you for your time.

Just a quick heads up: Since we might soon have new DJ/Mod positions open, I would like to remind everyone who considers applying, of the following:

- Those who apply for a radio position, are required to show a certain presence on the radio chat.
We need to be sure we're hiring someone who will be consistently availble and is commited to the radio and the job.

- Upon applying for any radio position, please state the username you use on the radio's chat as well as your timezone and the times you are usually available. It makes it easier for us to contact you and helps our decision making, since we will be able to determine how active you are.

In addition to the above, please be sure to read the opening post of this thread (quoted below with some additional notes by me).

My name is Mitsy and I wanna be a DJ because music is my life and I'd give anything to be able to be a DJ.
Especially on here, and I love all varieties of music.
I want this job because when I can choose and hear music it is an amazing feeling.
When listening to the radio I automatically feel happier and I love the sound of the songs.
Music makes me feel accepted and comfortable and I wish every other person (pony) felt the same way.
If I am not accepted I understand but I really do want this. This isn't a minor for me, it's a major.
I have never heard the music that I have heard on here, and I want to be able to explore and play the playlist.
It's an amazing feeling to have a full list of music you love and to be a staff member of Everypony.com would be the greatest honor for me. I DJ actual events such as dances and FTA projects. I get along with people on here very well but I do not take kindly colorful, crude, or perverted language. I feel I would be great for a DJ and I would really love every minute of it.

I can DJ every weekday from 10:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., my timezone is Central.

All my college work is behind me now so now pretty much a 7:30 till 4:15 dayer now apart from Fridays.

I can't count the amount of times I've had to get a mod out of skype to sort out a problem in the chatbox, but i know its been a few
-Taking DJ shifts (minimum 3 hours a week)
(Note: These 3 hours are the bare minimum expected from every DJ. DJ times are being logged, and evaluated by the radio management.)
3 Hours, often Virgils calls for 2 out of boredom.
-Uploading songs to the song libraries
-Checking YouTube for new songs to upload
-Asking artists for permission to use their works
These three seem to be the same nutshell, and with artists always updating WIP on their tumblr, 'should' be easy to keep track of this stuff.
-Creating/sorting out playlists

Heya. I would like to apply for DJ or a mod. I just think I could help on radio and stuff.
I check youtube everyday and I got loads of brony artists on my subscribe list.
And what comes to my time consumption usually when I'm on my PC I'm on EPR too, so that is lot of hours especially at weekends.
Rules, I know them and honor them. I respect my co-chatters, mod and DJ's, and I'd like to be one of those faces who make this possible.

I would like to apply for DJ or Mod.
Iv'e always wanted to help the community and I could easily and gladly monitor and perform my duties. I would happily do more then 3 hours a week and I pretty much sit around playing my Xbox or go to this site's chats and/or youtube for at least 3-7 hours every day pretty much. I will openly admit that i'm a little laid back and can be a bit frustrating sometimes. I will also openly admit that I might bend the rules a bit but that's mainly because I like too have fun, I can get very serious when need be. Though I have little experience with DJing on livestream I think it would be quite fun to do so and will willingly learn what I need too.
