I'm getting a new phone for Christmas, and since I hate my current phone (because my parents picked it for me without me knowing) they are letting me decide. I narrowed it down between either the iPhone 4S or the new Droid Razr. I've looked up reviews on both, and even some comparisons, but they seem too 'wishy-washy' for me to come up with a solid decision. So what do you guys think?
HTC Thunderbolt! :derpe: I wouldn't trust Apple products besides their iPod because I don't own any of their products besides multiple iPods. So I'd go with the other phone.
Get the Android, having an iPhone is like giving part of your soul to Apple. Pretty much zero customisability and most of all; NO FLASH SUPPORT
No flash? That is so dumb. Does that mean Youtube wont work? I would be getting this, if for not my awesome begging powers to get my parents to raise the price limit they will go to. The Thunderbolt looks really nice, but I'm really interested in the Razr's dual core processor.
I'd get an iPhone for one reason: the sheer amount of apps. You can get YouTube, Livestream, whatever you want, really. You don't even need Flash!
I'm confused. Does the lack of flash, include Flash Player? Cause that's what Youtube uses, so how does it work if there isn't flash?
HTC Desire Lack of flash means that you cant listen to everypony radio through the mobile. Or any livestream for that matter. Desire lasts most of the day on battery life, constant Livestream lasts at least 1.5 hours.
I have an iPhone 4S, so I'll give you my opinion on it. I like it, I disagree with Miggy in terms of customizing, newer iPhones are modestly customizable out of the box, and jailbreaks are flawless these days, leading to endless customizing options. He is however right about the lack of Adobe Flash. If battery life concerns you, the droid is not a great option, the iPhone, having a irreplaceable battery recoups for this with great battery life, I generally charge once every 3-4 days. Siri is a new feature in the 4S, not sure if android has an equivalent, you might want to check though. If you don't know what siri is, go watch some videos on YouTube, it can do pretty much anything you ask it to, and don't have to speak like you're crazy to get it to. Anyways, Android or iPhone these days doesn't really matter, and if I decide some day I don't like my iPhone or I get a newer model when they come out, I'll just install android on it to mess around. Edit: The new iPhone has dual-core as well, saw you mentioned dual-core in an earlier post before I finished. Edit-Edit: Bounty is somewhat right, you CAN livestream, but only on certain ones, for example, I'm watching the fox 8 livestream right now. He is right about EPR not being able to stream.
I suggest a Motorola W370. You can get as much as a month of Battery life. Also incredibly good signal everywhere.
Tough question. There's pros and cons to both. I hate apple, but an iPod and a phone would be good. But I've heard a lot of good things about droids, plus they're sturdy.
Get the Iphone 4S, and jailbreak it. You'll not regret it. Jailbroken Iphones are flawless mobile devices. And they do support Flash.
I'm leaning toward the iPhone 4S. It seems really well rounded, meaning it has lots of features, good performance, and the battery actually will last more than 6 hours. I've always like iPods, and I think I would like the iPhone as well.
The Android has most of the (good) iPhone apps anyway. With the Android you have access to more features, and can even acquire Super User access if you root it (which is far easier to do than Jailbreak and actually encouraged by Google). You rent an iPhone, you own an Android.
I'd argue against that, I got an iPhone and jailbroke it, and later got a Galaxy S and rooted it. I had more features on my Galaxy S when it wasn't rooted than I did on my jailbroken iPhone.
Jailbreaking is essentially the same thing as rooting, which if you know what you're doing, means endless possibilities on both. You simply didn't explore enough, just wanted to point that out. As for the "you rent an iPhone, you own an Android" statement.... What? lol
You sign a paper that Declaers that Apple is allowing you Use of their product, And may revoke it at anytime.
Ah, I see, I don't remember signing that, or anything really. I thought that was just for distributors and app developers?
I do as well :L well at least on one drive, my main OS is still Windows, rarely use Linux these days.
