Usagi is a cyborg not a robot. Also living machine don't instantly know what non-living machines are saying. Mommy's brain works like mine even if it is a robots.
R2-D2 is alive. Reference the Star Trek episode about Data and if he is alive. I think R2-D2 meets the criteria.
Johny 5 is artificial. I have five working models of him, but they're not alive. They are fun though.

Mommy come one with budding, but some realities have spark birth and built bodies. They're still born not built Cybertonians are natural lifeforms. R2-D2, Data and Johny 5 were built. Their life coming from experience or random acts of god.

Star Wars doesn't recognize Driods as being alive and Data and The Doctor are considered Artificial in universe. In most transformers continuities Transformers are recognized as natural lifeforms. Because these things don't exist beyond the fourth wall isn't it fair just to accept there in universe recognition?
