More than that for me, ugh it's way too sweet. And tastes artificial. I like tea more than coffee, but I can't drink it. The amount of tea I drink directly relates to the amount of kidney stones my body produces. So, I switched to coffee.
Since we are on the topic of beverages, I tried the new Moutian Dew Major Melon. It's pretty good, but super sweet. Not to the level of this past Halloween's Moutian Dew Voodo flavor. But yeah. Firstly, what tea have you been drinking? Or better yet, how much sugar do you use for tea? Secondly, welcome to the Coffee Drinkers Club~ That made me laugh more than I expected it to~ lol
Hi there, #21. Yeah. It wasn't really doing my weight any favors. And I haven't really been able to lose more than a few pounds before gaining them back, because then my other eating habits kick in to compensate. Macaroni & cheese, pizza, chocolate, chimichangas...
Hello, CRB~ But in regards to diet. I literally cannot drop soda. I would have to go through withdraw hell for a good while, if I were to attempt quitting soda. Plus I have gotten to the point in my life where my thought process is 'If I am going to eventually die, may as well do so enjoying the things I do.'
It actually gets easier to avoid after the first few weeks. But if you slip up even once, you're bound to drown yourself in the stuff again. Happened to me on my first attempt to go cold turkey.
Yeah, I know. I just have decided that I may as well spend my life remaining enjoying soda. It maybe what kills me, but I will at least die drinking what I love~
It's harder to cut down on the sodas during the winter since I don't get as thirsty. I drink a ton of water during the summer and limit sodas to meals but when it gets colder, it's mainly Mello Yello or Sun Drop throughout the day.
I was drinking English Breakfast or Earl Grey, so black tea. And I didn't usually use sugar. It's not the sugar, but some of the other stuff in the tea that will contribute to the stones. I got a whole huge list of food/drink to avoid from my urologist. Some crazy stuff on there. Like Jello or anything like that - gummy bears, etc, collard greens, mustard greens, dark sodas (like Coke is bad, but Sprite is fine). And I drink a boatload of water every day, that helps a lot in keeping the stones away. And thanks. I got a Keurig machine to help feed the new habit. I'm on a Dunkin Donuts Medium Roast kick right now. It's so drinkable.
I was aware dark soda caused stones, but I had no idea some teas caused stones. Damn. Oh nice~ I have a type of Keurig that can make coffee from both grounds and the cups~ Gods. This talk about coffee is making me want some. May as well make some~
41 years. That's how long I've walk the world on the other side of the fourth wall. I wish Crystal Pepsi was out all the time.
I'll be 37 in March, myself. And if there's one brand of soda that I miss, it's Faygo. It's one of the few things I miss about Michigan.
I'm right behind you. I will be 32 in May. Also Faygo is something I am aware of, but not really had much chance to have too often.
I was a big fan of Surge back in the day. You can only get it at Burger King these days. It's good but it's not the same.
I have found the cans of surge at local DnD shop. They have a fridge full of soda, energy drinks, and stuff like Ramune.
I miss Crystal Pepsi. We could only have that or Sprite while in High School band and in uniform cause spills wouldn't stain. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I remember loving that stuff.
I hope someday Crystal Pepsi makes a comeback, but I have my doubts. Always heard so much about it and never had the opportunity to try it. Most likely due to the fact I wasn't around yet. Wow, I feel so young compared to you guys, turning 22 in June.
And judging by your comments elsewhere on the site, you've been going here since you were what, 15? I find that nothing short of amazing. Here, have an odd drink! ...Seriously, I have no idea what that bottom half is supposed to be. If memory serves my dad put his drink in the freezer to chill it and left it in too long, then decided to pour some Faygo Moon Mist on top of it.
