Alright, so a few days ago they released the teaser for the movie announcing the voice cast as well. I'm surprised to see Eric Lamar voicing a pony. Is samurai motherbucking jack! Then we have the highschool musical gal as the protagonist and several others from a very diverse bunch of movies and shows too. Honestly, though, I will miss dearly Tara, Ashleigh, Tabita and all the others, but it makes sense to just hire new people for totally different characters. Alas, g4 days are counted. We have until september 24th to talk about our beloved gen as current history, afterwards they will be (literally) ancient pony history. It's kinda bittersweet, g4 was my college years, first hangover and a lot of other things What do you guys think?
Not surprising, since a lot of media entertainment goes for names we know, way more nowadays, when it comes to movies and shows. G4 means alot, to alot of people. And most probably are still not fully ready to leave it behind, even with G5 literally around the corner. It's strange that it lasted as long as it did and we still have stockholm syndrome over a now finished gen. But that maybe more of a testament to how much the show impacted everything and in general added to our lives. The irony being that it's a show mainly targeted at little girls. At least it was for a long time. Which makes it all the more nuts that there have been male fans long before G4. Not that I will judge. We all have guilty pleasures we closet~ Though it's not a like that is as closeted for people as much anymore, which may or may not be a good thing. *stares at the toxic side of the fandom*
Say, poison, are you sticking around as a fossil for g5? Or is it time to get off of the badnwagon? I myself will play my role as an ancient cane-swinging "in my days everything was better" grouchy "get off mah lawn brats" oldman. I wanna see what can the new wave do and if g5 on itself can drag new people to content creation and what will they offer now that flash is a goner.
Honestly. I may end up hanging around. Maybe not as an active member of the community, but I would like to see fresh blood do new things. If anything, I will try to make an attempt to watch the movie and the new G5. But if that doesn't happen. Oh well. I've skated along as a casual fan this long. No sense in stopping now~ Besides, it could be worse. This could be another less respected fandom. *cough*Sonic the Hedgehog*cough*
Just look at this guys! Equestria Daily - MLP Stuff!: My Little Pony: A New Generation Gets a PG Rating Ponies go PG from the start! I didn't expect the very first encounter with g5 would be PG. Honestly, I expected it to be more focused on kids than going for preteens.
