I used to be a huge Harry Potter fan. Then Rowling showed her true colors, and now I can't even enjoy my memories of the fandom without the taint of that horrible woman.

My thoughts almost exactly, except I am a fan of both... lol
There is so much more going on in the books than the movies...
And I think for the Magical Beasts, to me, the first one was about awesome magical beasts. The second one was not, they were kind of an afterthought. There is the difference.

I saw the movies before I read the books and, as cool as it would have been to have everything from the books included, it would have made each movie twice as long and felt more like they were just checking off boxes than making a compelling movie. Ever thus the dilemma of adapting a book to the screen.

To Rock's point, I think what they did with movies was about the best they can do without it turning into a monster 10 to 13 hour movie. There is a weird balance with book adaptation movies. And it's a hard balance to maintain. Especailly when you deal with massive stories like Harry Potter.

Though this is a observation from someone that has never made a movie before in any capacity.

Was that little side note nessissay?

    Yes.

At least they put deleted scenes in the special features on the DVD releases.

Syfy has been showing the extended versions too. And counterpoint - they turned The Hobbit, a 100-200 page book, into a 9+ hour, 3 movie mess.

Because I don't have much interest in Harry Potter beyond the odd fanfiction, and because the first things I think of when I hear "The Hobbit" are either Nethack or Leonard Nimoy.

Piccolo would be disappointed with the little amount of dodging there is.

That reminds me, Poison. You get the chance to watch the 3rd episode of HFIL yet? It was released just within the past few weeks. Dialogue wasn't my thing, but Cell's still playing his role as a walking oven quite well.

I did and it was honestly pretty great~

And yeah. The dialog was a hit and miss this time. However, I still like how hard Cell burned Freeza in the end.

And Guru being himself never ceases to be funny. And basically getting the last laugh on Freeza, metaphorically speaking.

I can relate. Some days just feel like all day coffee days. Just being able to enjoy one at different times if the day... There is something rather comforting in that.

Honestly. I couldn't word that better myself.

Also cold days tend to be good days for hot drinks~

    Indeed.

I don't like coffee. Despise it, in fact.

Oh-ho yeah, little brother. That's talkin'.

"I am more of a tea person myself."

    "Fruit punch for the win."

What, do all the voices have nothing better to do? Get out of my computer!

Well, excuse me for having trouble sleeping.

Coffee by itself is nasty bean water.
Add cream and sugar and it becomes nectar of the Gods.

I do not disagree on tea. It is a pleasant alternative.

Though I honestly cannot see the appeal of Fruit Punch. As it's made now-a-days, it's merely empty calories and sugar sweeteners. But to each their own, I suppose.

Understandable. Everyone's tastes are different, and coffee straight will not sit as well with some. But I prefer straight black coffee.

Honestly, I only make a exception when at a coffee shop.
