I'm thoroughly convinced this is the case. You can say what you want about the quality of the cartoons themselves, but there's no denying that so many cartoons in the 80s had catchy and memorable theme songs. I'm talking about Ducktales, New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, Transformers, Chip 'n' Dale, Heathcliff, Adventures of the Gummi Bears, and Ninja Turtles. What do you think? And why were the themes for 80s cartoons so good?
I think it they 80's they just tried harder. The people who do Turtle normally do a good job no matter the year, but the 80 were without a doubt the best.

Honestly, I cannot disagree. Though Captain Planet is arguable. Namely due to it not aging as well as the other ones listed. But hey, I also like Thundercats and the original Scooby Doo. So, to each their own. Oh! Another one that is awesome:
