About two and a half days short (give or take) on that one there, chief. We had plenty of time. >^_^<
I was running an errand at work yesterday and got passed by an A-Team Plumbing van that looked like the one from the show. Never actually watched the show but I do recognize the van.
Around the time I was just getting into stuff like Slayers or El Hazard, there used to be this one website with a joke comic that had Mr. T taking on Lina Inverse's group and winning. ...I'd read some weird stuff in high school and college. Part of me's glad that my tastes have moved on since then. ()^_^
The amount of bootleg and knockoff branding down here is pretty astonishing. I found this a couple years ago at one of the stores at Broadway at the Beach.
It wasn't the bootleg Knuckles that irked me when I saw that image up there. It's that it was a very, shall we say, specific and memetic version of Knuckles that was ticking me off.
And that's good enough. There's a brief explanation of it elsewhere, but I've always found it fairly repulsive, so I'd prefer not to talk about it. So, I'mma drop this here instead. There's a small part of me that's liked the idea of the characters I've created over the decades throwing down just for fun, but I lack the skills, the time and energy, and the money to make that happen in entertainment form. Running stuff like this through the generator is a lot more satisfying. I know I've said this before, but out of Ambush's kids, Ellen's always fascinated me the most.
Admittedly, when I started developing Ellen's power-set, Yomiko wasn't one of her inspirations. It just seems that way. >^_^< I did draw inspiration from Yomiko, Zoey from 'Pokemon', and to a lesser extent the original incarnation of Carmen Sandiego for her current attire, though. Good guess, but no. Ambush/Amber's kids are the following: Eebon - Kittenoan felinoid Echo - Pure cat Elk - Catboy Ellen -Pure human, with Kittenoan genetics via Ambush granting her the paper-related superpowers Ezekiel - Randomly swaps genders and the four above races on a weekly basis without control over what he becomes
Callista's purse? In the lore, it's actually a shape-shifting weapon. It can turn into any feasible weapon that it's physically come into contact with in the past, and it grants her just enough knowledge to use the other weapon properly in the event that it's active. Shape-Shifter's default form depends on the personality of its wielder; in her case, it's a purse on account of her being a peaceful kid at heart. In the context of the "game", since Calli's trying to attack Ellen with the purse itself instead of something like a flaming sword, that suggests to me that it's a 'light' attack straight out of a dash.
