Hello. I want to discuss the current progress of the merchandise being made for MLP:FIM. I see many Bronies making stuffed ponies online and am wondering if this every has the possibility of become mass produced. I for one would love to buy any stuffed pony, especially Fluttershy.

I would also like to discuss the makings of the standard MLP toys. I have seen a good amount of them and none look quite like the show, in Pinkie Pie's case quite different, and while I understand that this may be difficult in some aspects, the lack of authenticity so to speak is kind of a turn off for me. I mean I'll probably break down and buy a Fluttershy pretty soon no matter how different she looks but I wish there were better constructions. Are there any different types?

That being said, I hear there are some molded ponies toys and I'm wondering if anypony was bought any of these and if they look well. I don't need to have realistic hair if the ponies themselves look true to the show which is what I'm looking for.

If anypony has any ideas on what I have discussed or further ideas about MLP:FIM merchandise feel free to post and I'll usually be checking back every day multiple times and would love to discuss this with anypony.

You should check out the pixel's new toys thread. I have all my toys on there. About 10 of them are just recolors of the main 6.

I would by a plush the moment I see one. I have no idea why hasbro won't make them.

The molded ones look the best, but I have never found any around me.

I think hasbro is doing a bad job with the toys, but then I buy them anyway. I just can't help it.

I ask you what could be done to further it?
I mean, the Hasbro-certified merchandise is there and it does it's job, but the fan-stuff is a lot higher in quality and range. And for everything else that there isn't one can put it together by oneself, for example I know someone In Germany and their Roommate is customizing her boyfriend's company car to have a rainbow dash decal on it.

Just think of the money hasbro is losing though. I spend all my moneys all of it on plush MLP.

Or I'd just settle for a trixie and diamond tiara.

Yea i dont even acknowledge their existence when im at the store. Even when they talk all the time at the same time. Kinda creepy. Makes you think youll hear that at like 1 am waking you up from a dead sleep. Then you remember that you dont have a baby pinky pie.

There is actually a Big MacIntosh blind bag pony. If you're referring to the larger, brushable toys, then yes, I too would like to see several more characters in production.

On the contrary, those who make characters by recolouring existing models still have to buy the aforementioned models. Hasbro make money either way.

Those who are happy with the quality = Buy the merchandise.

Those who aren't happy with the quality = Buy the merchandise.

    Win win, by Hasbro.

Anyway, no, I am not happy with the current quality, mainly in the wave of background characters. The other toys were actually rather satisfactory, even the Celestia release (say what you will, as a child's toy it was of a good standard). However, said BG characters were a disappoitment. The lack of effort that went into them was astounding. They were simply recolours, not even very good ones. Fans do a better job than that, so I hope to see a higher level of production in the future.

    True true.

But think of this of they make a trixie brushable they could recolor that and get more money.

Maybe I be like DRD and by a custom.

That was one of my questions. What can be done about the low level of merchandise Hasbro is making? And the easiest answer is to make things yourself but it's not easy. I do like the idea of making your own plushies and things and that's probably what I'll endeavor on doing one of these days. It's sad it has to go to fan made though. Hopefully as the show gets older the possibilities will open up but until then I wish Hasbro would start looking at what we are buying and making and the fact that we have to make our own products to feel vindication is a clear sign they aren't doing something right.

I wish Hasbro had a line of other merchandise besides toys. I would love to have them make collectibles like figurines and ornaments (I fell in love with the Pinkie Pie ornament, now that was well done) that the older crowd of followers can enjoy. Plushies and toys never end up looking like the characters they're intended to be anyway.

    So many pony abominations. :[

I agree, although what Pinkie Pie ornament do you mean? Never heard of that, sounds pretty funkaliscious.
