Dont worry about it ^_^ there were many more predictions similar to the maya prediction like 11/11/11 Live when you can..and if you are, use it well, dont spend it with worrying.
I don't think it will, but if the world is going to end 2012 it will be because that SOPA bill starts a nuclear war . Don't worry though, even if I am predicting the Unites States turning into a dictatorship before 2030, it is also prophetized that the new world order will rule for 1000 years before the apocalypse. But the real sign of the end times is if FIM is cancelled .
Well if that's the case for the U.S. having a Dictator, then i want someone to build a machine where i can jump into a cartoon world and i'm living in Equestria forever if that is to be of the U.S.
All these people are right 2012 is a load or rubbish. I am a Christian and according to my beliefs no one can tell the day nor the hour when Jesus returns. But when he does all the Christians will be taken up to heaven and all non- Christians will be left behind. That will be a last resort for Jesus to try get as many people to give their lives to him. I wouldn't worry about the end I would worry about making sure I'm not left behind and have to endure the end. You should too. And who knows maybe there will be Ponies in heaven.
Funny how in the movie "2012," they started experiencing odd phenomenons in the later months of 2010, and in 2011 is where the strange things started getting worse. Have we experienced any of these yet? I don't believe so, and I always believed that 2012 is just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. I know the world will eventually end, but it won't be anytime soon... unless nuclear warfare takes another toll on the planet.
Nothing will happen. Ever. The world will not blow up, there will NEVER be a rapture, and there will be no crazy meteorites. Bear in mind this is coming from a madly irreligious guy who believes in nothing, and ESPECIALLY not teachings of other tribes and religions.
I hate that quote. I find it stupid. If I were to live like that, I would drive really fast and preform other stupid things. Maybe I look to far into quote. That's just what I get out of it. I can't wait for nothing to happen on 2012. The lolz I will have. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I'm athiest, so when it comes to "rapture dates" I shrug off the hype and laugh when the prediction fails. 2012 is a strange case, however. Supposedly predicted by the Mayans and Nostradamus himself (a man who predicted the atom bomb, moon landing etc. all in the 1500's). Still, the whole "we will burn in eternal hell fire" and "the world's crumbling" is just nonsense. The only "real" 2012 is the ever growing economic crisis, which could be the end as we know it. It's a bunch o' hooey. Just live yer life!
If it was true (LOLITSNOTTHOGH) I'd be pissed at the Mayans. Ofcourse it would be the day before my birthday. :ahh:
The world will only end when the sun collapses, and you can Google how long it will take until then. At that time, we have colonies in far away galaxies and no one cares whatever happens to our sun. Or some morron decides to fire some nuclear bombs and destroy earth.
Too many protocols in place for that. Even if one country were to slip the net and start nuclear warfare, decimating the human race, Earth would be fine. Can I remind everyone the Earth has been through over 4 billion years of torment humans could never create? I'm talking bombardment from other planet sized bodies, temperatures in the thousands of degrees Celsius, and atmospheres more inhospitable than anything we have experienced. Humans are very late starters in the Earth's history, and when we cease as a race, no matter what we did, Earth will move on as it has done for billions of years. Anyway, ask yourself this David. How can the world 'end'? It's such a stupid term, it makes no sense. The only way for it to 'end' is for it not to exist anymore, and that would require something like what Alex said. That's not going to happen in 1 year. You can't imagine how much longer it would actually take. These claims of rapture, armageddon and the apocolypse are getting old. You're young and impressionable, so I can't hold you to fault too much for considering what these crap spouters say. But when you're older, uglier, and smarter, you'll hopefully understand it's absolute rubbish. These people want the feeling of power, so by instilling fear in the gullible, they offer a remedy or escape from the very thing they've told people to fear. Thus, followers. It's not a new concept, not even close. I cast my memory back to 2003, when Nancy Lieder, a woman who claimed that aliens called 'Zetas' had installed a communication chip in here brain, warning her of an impending collision between the Earth and a supposed planet called 'Nibiru' (the same collission supposed to be causing the 2012 disaster) preached to her 'followers' to kill their pets. She even convinced some to eat them, claiming dogs 'made a good meal'. It's now 2011. She admitted she lied so that the government wouldn't try to intervene come the real date. I'm sorry, but if anybody genuinely believes her and/or anyone like her, they are, and I'm sorry for being blunt, an idiot. A total, stupid idiot and not worth anyone's time. As for this Mayan calendar, it resets. That's all. The Gregorian calendar resets once a year, I don't know if you noticed. Now, as for predictions of a disaster by the likes of Nostradamus, for a start his predictions were disgustingly vague. They are so easily interperated into almost anything it's pathetic. His prediction of 9/11 was actually just 'a tower englufed in flame'. I'm not even going to bother researching how many events that could apply to. Secondly, he only even made 9 that could be considered true, he made countless predictions that didn't come to fruition or were simply wrong. We're all going to die at one point anyway, so why all the fear over a non existant event is beyond me. You'd better be trolling.
@Lup: That's what revelations says, unfortunately. No trolling. Apparently Gandhi is in hell. Buck that. I say that's insanity.
Don't worry about the Mayan calendar: all time-keeping systems eventually roll over. You should really be worring about that new hyperspace bypass the Vogons are pushing for But seriously, most doomsday prophecies are bogus. And even is there is a global nuclear war, meteorite strike, or devestating climate change, rest assured that life on Earth is hardy enough to survive it. There have been countless apocalypses since the birth of our planet; life finds a way.
You can all sleep well, nothing will happen, but if something did happen, it wouldn't wouldn't matter, because you're dead anyway! *Trollestia*
Don't you worry. The world will still be here even after 2012. And even IF the world "ended", it'd still be pretty much exactly a year until that. So no matter what comes, smile, laugh and live. If it happens we can't change it anyway. Always look on the bright side of life~
