That is one of my all time favorite books. If you haven't already read it or seen the movie, make sure to read the book before you see the movie. I just found that it worked best that way.

Actually, I saw the movie last summer :derpe: Oh well. I´m sure I´ll enjoy it anyway. And yeah, the movie was awesome. It really captured the apocalypse in a way I´d never seen before. I heard they cut a lot of scenes out from the book when filming though.
Well, if that was your opinion of the movie, I'm sure you'll love the book. My friends hated the movie, but I loved it because I had read the book and fully understood the finer points of what was going on. Yeah, they cut a lot of the more gruesome scenes to keep it at an "R" rating, so I would be cautious with the book if you have a weak stomach or aversion to gruesome acts in literature. Also, if you didn't pick up on the allegory in the movie, it'll hit you pretty hard in the book.
