There were some minor confusions with the Secret Santa, and the person I was meant to give to hasn't been online for a month today. So because they can't send a gift, some one must be left out. There may be others, so I didn't just give it up after I found out and I just finished it today (it took so long and it didn't have to... ask Miggy about my pain). It doesn't have a Christmas theme, but there is a message for all as well as the "gift": First of all, may I say that you are the most amazing bunch of people I have ever met, and not just on the internet. It's extremely hard to come by individuals like you guys who care about everyone and everything. It just makes me happy, and I know this can't be considered much of a gift for the forum (as it's just a picture of Rarity) but instead, just consider this message of appreciation as a token of my love for this site and the people that have made me feel so welcome. What an end to the year, knowing that I have made so many new friends, and to add, ones that truly care. This community makes me proud. As you know, I don't like to name names, because that would mean leaving others out, but I feel so compelled to list those who have made an impact. I know there's a thread for praise, but it linked in with the thread. Rashall - My first conversation with anyone on the site was with him. Sure t'was a simple "what's up" but that has led us on to adding each other on the xbox and having frequent conversations, sharing laughs about how I have no common sense on Skyrim derpe, and it turns out we have a lot in common. Thanks dude. TheSaikyoBrony - I didn't know him all too well in the first month of me being on the site, same goes for everyone really (still now), but I think it was after Rashall was talking about a certain "Dungeon Diving Fluttershy" that spawned the thought to add me, and after that, we got talking on a variety of threads. He's an awesome guy and his kind words have kept me out of soppy moods. His latest video proves to everyone that he just cares a lot. Thanks man. Luprony - Oh, you. Haha, offering me a pint when he knows I'm only 15... tsk tsk, Lupr. Well what can I say? We share a passion for art, and you have been incredibly charming. I just wish I could have gone to the meet. ;_; Dammit, I hate this, there are others I want to mention but isn't that just a sign that you have proven to me how welcoming this community is? The forum's motto suggest equality, and I want it to be so. So nopony left out! Much loves to you all! And... MERRI CHRISTMAS!
Wow, I'm Flattered! And don't worry, Meetups are going to be more common place in the future! I believe there is one on February 4th, and I'll be doing my utmost to attend. It would be infinitely better with you there of course, that much goes without saying. So Merri Christmas, Merry, have a good one! Wait...
I imagine if I ever went to a meetup (I'd love to, really!), everypony would wonder who was the quiet old guy being a wallflower, gulping down Diet Coke, and not talking much. Ah, well, maybe some day. But we digress . . . I wouldn't worry too much, Merry. There's no way we could have everyone involved in a secret Santa. But, maybe next time, we could have a thread where we give something to everyone else, even if it's a simple message. Sometimes, I write letters to my friends, letting them know what they mean to me. Sometimes in simple, straight forward style, sometimes in story format. Perhaps, I'll do that sometime.
Same place I believe, London. I'm not sure though. I'll do my best to keep my fellow tea drinkers and sheep sha- shearers updated.
I c wut you did thar... But London again would mean a definite no. I know that now. Obviously I'm not asking you to pull it further up the country, as London is very interesting. But wasn't it held in London because of a binded meet with others?
No idea. I just assumed it was considered an ideal location, what with it being the capital. I've heard there could be a Manchester meetup, although don't take that as factual, it really was just word of mouth.
