Hi fellow Bronies. Dante Wynter here, and at 46, I'm wondering if I'm the oldest Brony. If there's a thread elsewhere for this topic, my apologies. But, a little about myself. Well, I first saw MLP: FIM with the various memes being produced about three months ago. The more I saw, the more curious I got, until I gave in and watched the first episode. Which led to the second episode. Which led to the third, the fourth, the - well, I'm sure you get the idea. I can't say how wonderful the show is in every respect. The art, the stories, the characters - I don't think I had any kid shows like this when I was 5-10. My favorite is Rainbow Dash, which naturally means my favorite is "Sonic Rainboom," of course. And when I say she's my favorite, I mean, she ranks only slightly higher than the others - I love them all, of course. As for me personally, well I work as a security guard right now, although I recently got my Pharmacy Technician certificate, but the economy being what it is, no one seems to be hiring just now, in my area. I love to write, and have sent in submissions in the past but with not much luck. And, yes, I'm working on a fan fic right now. Hardly done with the first chapter, though. Let's see, other things I like - Doctor Whoof, I mean, Doctor Who, Star Trek & Star Wars, pretty much any kind of science thing - which does make me resemble Twilight, I'll admit. well, hallo welcome to everypony. I'm rather Twilight irl myself yeah, I would guess you could be the oldest, but age doesn't mater. irl I hang out with 35 year olds and 14 year olds in same time (I'm 19 myself and am involved in sport where age isn't an issue). anyway, I'm Yeti, nice to meet you.

I wasn't worried my age was a bad thing - I'm just kind of amused by the whole thing. 46 and still watching - well, only the good stuff, of course. Hey there Dwynter! Welcome to the forums! A personality quiz I took said I had the personality of Rainbow Dash. I don't really think those things are all that accurate though. Rapi Dash, I took one of them tests, too (haven't we all?) I matched Twilight, which I thought was pretty good, dead on even. But Rainbow Dash is still 20% cooler. Oh, and Double Rainbow "Dash"? I'm sure I'll be 40% cooler after I've been on these forums for a while.
Only 29 here, so I don't even hit the high end of the supposed 'statistics'. I just find it interesting that it's so easy for all of us to get along as well as everyone here does, under what turns out to be a love for rainbows/friendship/tolerance/love/ponies/whatever brought you here. It's liberating in a way, and neat that age isn't a factor. Either way, it's great to meet you, and welcome to the never ending Pinkie party! Fluttershy FTW!
Welcome. Like most stated, age isn't a stone to stumble upon, nice to see such activity and love in the forums. I find it intriguing to see this show attract both males and females of all age. We can all grow up, but deep down there somewhere in the heart we all stay children. I suppose you have kids? If you have, I'd like to know if they're bronies too. Not to sound like an ageist, but i'd really like to know. Again, not to sound like an ageist, but i do envy your manners (referring to every adult), as in - I know the kids of today, and yes, they're kids. Believe it or not, I have more adult (adult as in, over 40 years old) friends than friends of my age, it just seems like dimensions between the manners and discussions between these two generations. I enjoy the discussions that older men lead, while i get bored of the never-ending "Dude, i saw this and was like That, then this guy came to me and punched..."... Now where have I left my manners? Hey Dwynter I am 24, and you are the oldest brony I've meet to date. I am also a science geek and just about every science fiction show. My career almost went the way of science, but in the end I decided my true calling was in creativity and I knew that I did not have the self discipline for a career in science anyway. I still study science for fun sometimes though and I guess that makes me a lot like Twilight. I am also very shy around people face to face to I have a lot in common with Fluttershy. Who is the best pony Praise Her!
Well, you're 43.4782608696% older than me . I think being that old and still being a fan of MLP:FiM, along with admitting that MLP:FiM is better than the cartoons you had when you were a kid, which are exponentially better than the cartoons we have now, makes you 20% cooler.
Hehehe, I would be fourteen too. One of the coolest things about this fanbase is how little hatred or even anger it inspires. I don't think I've ever seen anything near a flamewar of anything more than an "anti-brony" (from where I'm from) trying to be funny/cool/irritating by insulting the whole fandom. Yaay for diversity in age~

Wow! Gosh! Such enthusiasm! I was kind of thinking people might shy away from the old guy, but I guess not. It's kind of spooky to think most of you - if not all - are young enough to be my kids! Heck, I was noticing that Laura Faust was ten years younger than me! Any ways, I'm afraid I have no children of my own, Jaret, which might explain my interest in things cartoony. With no kids to be an adult to, I could just continue my childhood! I'm married, but my wife, while she finds ponies cute and likes some of the jokes/cartoons about them, she has no interest in watching the show - but I think I'm wearing her down! If I can just get her to watch one episode, I know she'll be hooked! (So does she, I think, which is why she doesn't want to watch "just" one episode!) Widdorf, by my calculations, that makes you 26 - am I rite or am I rite? Well, I'll be around here for certain. This is the most interesting forum I've been to in a while, but is it fairly new?
