As usual Hasbro is selling they toys of My Little Pony. Unfortunately they do not resemble the characters at all and the toys are not representitive of Equestria in the show. I could stomach it for a while, but when they ruined Celestia, it took all my willpower, smashing two K'nex masterpieces and other K'nex things, and going into spazztik seizures, to not go supersaiyan T_T ):{.
Now. Where to start? Let us begin with the fact that the toy line Is addressed towards the shows target demographic, ie. Girls between the ages of 3 and 9. Surveys and statistics led Hasbro to the conclusion that They would be better received by this this demographic. (Which is the greater portion of the shows audience.) So far, This has held true. I have a niece (who is 8 years old), and she would have Celestia be pink in the show as well. Thus, economically speaking, Hasbro did it right. Furthermore, Hasbro hardly cares, if not just tolerates the Brony following of the show. It's the animators that are thrilled with it, not Hasbro; They have little cause to adjust their toy lineup towards a minor demographic that they care little for. All of that aside: You're title. I am still eyebrow-raise.
Son. I am disappoint. In any case, I don't really care what Hasbro make, as long as they look relatively similar to the show, which they do. Pink Celestia, though. Wow.
I fail to see what you're disappointed about. You are title. I am still eyebrow-raise. Makes sense to me.
http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?1197-My-Unboxing-Video-Merch Look at my first unboxing video, you'll see my two customs. :derpe:
Celestia has been Lavender since the first episode. She's obviously not going to be white. I don't really care about the Hasbro stuff, recolors, or colors like Molestia Celestia besides basic merch I get. *Expect new merch videos from me.* I just get customs if worse comes to shove.
Hasbro isn't going to change the toy designs. They are cheaply made to be sold to children. As stated above Hasbro isn't interested in wasting money for a fandom. Hence why they've begun to remove YouTube videos of episodes.
To be honest, Hasbro has produced greater fails in the past. Just check out the Jeepers media fail toy reviews on youtube and you will see what I am talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix8rqdVK4jk&feature=BFa&list=SP70F9924196F21CD7&lf=list_related I am just thankful there are not any FIM toys that are that level of fail. Though, I can imagine pony tongues being a hot seller for some bronies, I can imagine some of us actually want to kiss Rainbow Dash. What! It is not worse than nasty gungan tongue. :Trollestia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtatVM0jGzA&feature=relmfu So, yeah, it could be alot worse.
Haha! I love JeepersMedia. He's so hilarious, and yes Hasbro could be much worse. :derpe: And this is even more relevent. I saw this on the Hub while watching MLP, what a nice toy this is: http://youtu.be/7bJMSOxBmdw
Uhh...I remember my cousin had a Pink Celestia doll. At first, I was delightful to see live pony merchandise, only to see it pink. To make it further disappointing, The Cutie Mark had a little button in the center, and when pressed, Celestia would exclaim "My wings are so pretty". This made me smash the toy to bits. But I do agree on one thing: The dolls have got to go. The toy makers just try too hard to resemble a real life pony.
I like the McDonald's ones, but I got to find a way to fix Applejack's cutiemark, one side is flat and the other only has one Apple. Now I understand why it's good with brushable tail though, I can't keep my fingers away from it. The mane is molded though, which I still think is a good thing. :3
Pfft. Thats Vanity right there, and that ain't good. What does this teach kids, huh? HUH? EDIT; FOUND IT! ITS SO SCARY! IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE HER!!
