I already run my own mail server,
And have my gmail for back up.
    So,
    That's for the offer.

Heh, heh. Hmm, might be kind of fun. Although, that will mean I'll have . . . seven e-mail accounts (if I got one). Gluck.

You should run your own mail server for an eight account.

I found mail servers hard to set up it actually required a bit of work going from a server running debian to a fully functioning mail server, probably because I was behind a dynamic IP at the time. I don't manage root on this server though, so it is simple to add/delete/edit accounts.

But, come on, a mail server just for bronies? You DESERVE one!

I know of derpymail, in fact it was derpymail that made me want to create this site. To be better than derpymail when it came to sign up time, website design, speed and support. I signed up for a derpymail account a month or so ago and it was never made :(

Although, I am (mostly) happy with my current email, I have two questions. How secure have you made anypony email? And, for the basic account storage, does that apply to the amount of email, or the attachment size limit?

Anypony Email is https capable and all logins and generally emailing are done through https, providing encrypted transfers of sensitive data.

The website is also scanned for viruses and malware every week by access guardian. Which I only bought for users peace of mind.

As for storage, for a common pony account (100mb) that is the combined total of your emails and any attachments that go with them. It is very easy to delete bulk emails to free space though.

I hope that answered your questions!

Yes it did, thank you. Depending on how annoying I find AOL's mail, I may create an account with this. It looks interesting and the site is free of advertising and annoyances.

    You're running off of debian?
    Interesting,
My mail server is part of the back-end for a forum I'm hosting,
Currently running off of Windows 7,
But I plan to move to Windows Server 2008 (or 2003 based on availability.)
More than half off it I had to code (or recode; running off an open source project) myself,
Considering my ISP has very interesting conventions when it comes to SMTP.
(Blocks the related ports, unless authenticated. Completely blocks POP3,
So I'm using IMAP instead [also authentication required]).
    As to dynamic IPs,
I just stick to No-IP at this point; it essentially provides a static IP
Since it updates in real time.
