I've already signed like... 5 petitions against it. There's a lot of objection from the masses... Well, I'm pretty certain this ridiculous law won't go through. More protest can't hurt though, Especially because that guy has an awesome beard *touches screen in awe*.
BY CELESTIA'S BEARD! *coughs* On a more serious note, I wouldn't put it past the US government to pass SOPA to be honest with you. I'm hoping high but my expectations are low, just because the government likes their control. Being a US citizen makes me love my country sometimes, but my government is not something I take pride in. I honestly believe Obama was voted into office simply for "historical" reasons, not because he was the best candidate. Am I all for ground breaking things? Heck yes, especially if it means giving African Americans an AWESOME place in history. I'm all for completely destroying racism, because it's absolutely stupid and pointless... but when it gets in the way of a good president, it bothers me. Though whose to say that McCain wouldn't have been terrible? It's hard for me to even consider voting, now that I'm legal because I can't trust any candidate. Whose to say they aren't lying? Getting derailed a bit, aren't I? This all being said: Don't feel relaxed about it until a final decision is made. The US government will get what they want eventually, hope it's not today... hope you never see it in our lifetime... but keep expectations low just in case <3333 That being said... ... SOPA didn't make it past the judicial review last year; it won't this year either, especially with Republicans and Ron Paul supporters. Pheh. Politics.

Yup, you are very right. I forgot to take that into account. Guantanamo is another serious issue that the US government won't say sh-- about. But from my understanding is that due to the fact that it's stationed in Cuba, even though it is located within the naval base, I think they like to take advantage of the fact that it is in Cuba, and not on US soil.
