Not sure if I am the only one interested in Bronycon as I live in New York, and mostly everyone here is outside of the US, but I'll post it anyway. Since I am unable to actually go to NYC and Bronycon, due to the fact that I am 17 and I have no money for gas; Everfree Radio will be hosting the event on their livestream January 7th. I wouldn't doubt that more conventions will rise in other major cities. It takes lots of planning, and of course permission from the local government to do this, it's a large event with hundreds of people. While it makes sense to hold this in a large city like NYC, it's difficult and a burden to go there.
I don't think I will ever be able to go to a Bronycon so this will have to do Thanks for a heads up Mike!
You can't imagine how bad i wish to go but unfortunately, i live in michigan and that is a stretch for me to drive to New York. Why can't it come to Michigan? Oh well. Hope you have fun. I hope a video of the it will be on youtube so i can see what happened.
New York is the most expensive place to host such a thing. I opted out of a 2 week vacation with my uncle's family in favor of the peace and quiet. When they returned, my uncle had $4 left in his pocket. Carton of cigarettes here: $40~. Carton in New York: $112 (LOLOLOL). I really wish I could go, but I highly doubt my sister will cough up a couple hundred bucks to make it happen as a Christmas present. ;D
