Even though I'm female, I prefer being called a brony. Anyone else like this?

Well, pegasister does sound a bit weird in my opinion. I prefer being called a brony too! It's definitely easier to recall.

    Yeah, that too.
I remember when there wasn't a term for a female who enjoyed FiM, so I called myself a brony
Now there's this pegasister business going on.

Personally, the way I see it is that Brony is a genderless term. Makes it much easier for everyone.

    :derpe:

All joking aside, I've heard this a lot! I guess people like the fact that brony has two syllables which compared to pegasisters, four syllables, is easier to say.

Why does "Pegasister" even exist? It's like. No. You're a brony. Heck, my female friends and I call ourselves bros. We don't have the typical female friendship dynamic going on, so we just say that we have a rad bromance going on. You might even say that we're *sunglasses* caught in a rad bromance.

Anyway. Thank you, ladies and gentleman of this thread and forum at large, for being awesome.

    Bro + Pony.

Further proving no one cares about the gender of a "bro." :D

I cringe at both terms. I don't like being called a brony, personally, although I respectfully refer to anyone who identifies with that label as such.

Because despite the fact that it's a genderless term, there will still be an idiot who believes it isn't and has to make it "equal".
Even though I have never met a brony who even likes this term.

Hell, recently I don't even like being called a brony because of how bad the fandom is becoming. I'll stick to EPR despite this drop though, we're better than that.

I don't mind saying "pegasister", but most of my female friends use "brony" anyway. I use it. It's just easier. Funny thing is, my best friend is a girl, and we call each other bro.

Ohmygosh. A Lady Gaga reference. My favorite.

Meh, I'm not fond of Brony or Pegasister.

Most probably because of the stigma attached.

I kind of like Pegasis or Pegasister, but that's just me. My wife likes Pegasis over Brony - she thinks it sounds to "masculine." Eh, I just say "Whatevs."

Personally, I guess Bronies is a good term for the fandom in general, like Trekkies although many don't like that term at all either. No satisfying everyone, I suppose.

As for me, call me what you want. As long as I know you're talking to me, I'll respond.
