rainbow dash, fluttershy, derpy, and the Cakes's babies can fly, but Scootaloo can't. Does that mean Hasbro hates scootaloo or something.

Chickens and Dodos cannot fly, sorry Scootaloo. But on a more serious note, Lauren Faust stated before that Scootaloo simply hasn't figured out flying yet. Possibly due to a (guess) lack of siblings or she could have been separated from her family early on. I'd really like to see an episode where they explain Scootaloo's family.
Yeah, I'd like to hear some of Scootaloos backstory as well. I think something might have happened to her family, hence her relationship with Rainbow Dash. I don't see them including a possibly depressing origin story though.
The way she looks up to Rainbow as her idol definitely makes for a backstory dealing with lack of family connection/maybe an orphan.
Moved to the appropriate forum. ON TOPIC: I think Scootaloo can fly, we've just never seen her do it. Her best friends are an earth pony and a unicorn, both of which can't fly. To me, it makes sense that she wouldn't fly because she has no reason to in the episodes we've seen. While some may argue that some pegasi take every opportunity to fly or hover in the air (such as Dash), a young pony such as Scootaloo wouldn't take the extra effort to do so. That's just my opinion.
But Pound didn't have any pegasus siblings or parents either, yet they figured out how to fly just fine at 1 month old, scootaloo is way older than that...though that does mean i very much look forward to seeing how they explain it, and if they dont explain it...then i guess scoota-sad fics will reign supreme as they only truth. Poor scootaloo.
If Scootlaoo could fly, she wouldn't need to be awesome with a scooter. And let's be honest, if you like Scootaloo, it began with when she started doing some matrix stuff with the scooter.
I've always thought that maybe she doesn't get allow with her parents. Like she has an older sister that her parents love, and her parents want her to be like her sister. Like maybe her sister is into girly stuff, and Scootaloo thinks that's lame. But then she sees Rainbow Dash doing tricks, so it makes Scootaloo want to do that. Or at least doing something that isn't girly.
All three are adults, so they probably would fly. Pumpkin uses magic, so she's slightly out of the question.... Where as, I guess that Pound, similar to Pumpkin, gets random flashes of.... well, flying. And as Foxy said, it could be that she can fly, just she's never needed to. Pumpkin's so cute!
i think she can, they just didn't show her flying so much. or maybe she didn't practice? who knows? let's hope they explain that in later eps
I'm with the she can't fly group... Maybe a future episode where Rainbow Dash helps her learn? I think she's just too stubborn to ask for help yet.
I think that maybe at a certain age, the rest of the pegasus grows faster than the wings can properly lift (ignoring the fact that their wings are too small to provide lift by our laws of physics :derpe so once a pegusus reaches a certain age, they are grounded until their wings can catch up to the rest of their body.
True. I dunno then. She has an affinity for scooters, maybe she concentrated on that her scooter skills her whole life and not flying?
