I hope they keep this as a running gag and just keep having different voices every time she says something...
Haven't watched it yet but I reckon that Applejack and Big Mac will do most of it with Applebloom being told to do nothing. Then at the end Applebloom will save the day at the last moment when it looks like they're going to lose. Friendship report will be about not underestimating anypony. Hope I'm right.
I liked this episode. Fluttershy at the very beginning made me lol. And Fluttertree is now canon. :derpe:
I absolutely loved the letter to Celestia at the end. I laughed so hard. Applejack is so silly! X3 A part of me wonders if the writers have been wanting to make that joke for a long time! Oh, and the mane six considering each-other family is pretty much canon and that makes me ridiculously happy.
I like Pinkie Pie even more after she trolled Rainbow Dash. Also, I think that the Flim Flam brothers are my favourite anti-heroes/antagonists of the whole series. Although the fact that we have a business as a family allows me to see why they came to Ponyville.
Yehh great episode :} Poor Rainbowdash,din't get the cider for all of the episode,except the end when Pinkie Pie shared :}
Great episode. The letter to Celestia was just perfect. However, I half expected Twilight to point out that the Apple family ought to raise their prices ("Ya know, you really should consider charging more for this cider!"), and they just glossed over the fact that under normal circumstances, Flim and Flam would run the Apples out of business, but they botched it.
So many favorites for me here. 1. Favorite episode of the season so far. 2. Favorite song of the series. 3. Favorite villains.
But wait a minute. They are unicorns so how are they going to grow the Apples? Also, I'm going to guess that the town would still want the Apple family back because the quality of Apples would decline, and some one would need to make the Zap Apples!
So... everyone in Ponyville is an alcohlic? :derpe: I liked this episode. Not one of my favourites, but still enjoyable. I didn't appreciate the song, it seemed a bit drawn out, but that was made up for by all the fan recognition! Dr Whooves, Lyra's face, Fluttertree... Great stuff. Also best letter to Celestia ever!
It was a nice episode. At first I considered skipping it, but I'm so glad I didn't! It was amazing. Gave me more reasons to dislike RD, too. The letter at the end was hilarious. All in all, it managed to raise my spirits a lot.
Here are my favorite things about this episode: Fluttershy: Her squeak during the intro when Rainbow Dash stole her blanket. So cute! Pinkie Pie: The balloons that are in her tent when she opens it and her story about having all the ponies camp in line. Big Mac: He actually said more than 1 word! Extended Family: I love how the other 5 Mane ponies were considered to be honorary Apple family members. Twilight Sparkle: She's organized as always! Rarity: I like her choice of words when sorting apples, it was either "lovely" or "horrid!" Rainbow Dash: "Is this some kind of cruel joke!?" Applejack: "I didn't learn anything!"
I really liked this episode. I thought the FlimFlam brothers 30's ish look was fun. The song was pretty good to and really catchy. The thing with Dr.Hooves and the giant hourglass made me laugh. Did anyone else notice the Thor Pony with the lightening hammer. I always liked seeing the cutie marks and wondering what the talent of that pony is. Rainbow dash was really hilarious "I gonna crush you into jerk cidar!" and "Is this some sort of cruel joke" poor RD. Why was Fluttershy blushing when Rainbow Dash took her blanket- you don't wear clothes anyway you silly pony.
Note: Apple Cider = No Alcohol HARD Apple Cider = Alcoholic (It's fermented for awhile with yeast, etc. I have a friend at work who just made some at his home.) I imagine Berry Punch was the only one boozing it up, but she had to bring her own flask.
Great episode, though I think Pinkie Pie was pretty selfish buying that many ciders when it was not enough for everypony. Poor Dashie. I also see alot of metaphor for business in general in this episode, the Apple family being small family business and the Flim Flam Brother being a corporate giant, the situation is roughly analogue of a Wallmart being opened in a small town. I guess Fox news can eat their word of there being no material for the adults, this episode brings up very important issues. Namely the monopoly of larger corporations.
Dear Princess Celestia I DIDN'T LEARN A THING i was right all along. Signed, Applejack (not sure how to do that Hide/ show Command ))
