I honestly think someponies are too sensitive about certian things and take them the wrong way, because Derpy is a unique and funny character in the show. I signed the potition and i think derpy should stay.
there are many who agree and many who don't agree but the facts remain hasbro tried something for the fans and now allot of set fans are trying to ruin it for the rest of everyone else its a no win situation seance fights like these are what gets show canceled
if the show dose get cancelled it would most likely be due to nerd rage (idiots with nothing better to do then shout han shot first over and over agian to the point of no longer liking the movies) and others who like the way it is and try to defend it, in this case its fan's who like to see a girls show being all about these perfect little barbe's and not what they think is offensives to a certan race/health issue, just look at the way people call mlp racist cause of zecora this case is no deffrent then that this is only taking a step further then trolling about it
Well it'll either be inclusive ( Zecora, Derpy, any pony who differs from Barbie or Ken or exclusive (barbie land) either way people will be upset :/. I for one love Zecora, but I could see why people would throw down the race card (since it comes out so easily now.) Still I heart me some mystic zebra.

Derpy isn't dead. WeLoveFine just renamed their products. It's not like she is going to disappear completely from the show and everything. Unless I'm missing something
its like a game of janga you pull one piece you dont like and then someone else is gonna want to do the same thing, the process is then repeated till the hole thing falls down it may not be the best way to explain it but its certainly the only one i can think of right now
Ditzy/Derpy won't disappear. Her origins and implementation are too strong. The artists, at most, will simply leave her be as a background character, leaving her moment of fame to forever stand as a testament of what the fandom had accomplished.
This. This so much. Derpy isn't dead so long as the fandom still remembers her. We loved her before she was canon, and we'll continue writing about her and making artwork until the end of the Brony era. The fact that she's gone from a supporting character back to a background pony is annoying, yes, but there's still life in Derpy yet.
This is the most stupid thing I have heard in my life. How easily offended do people get? Even though I am indifferent towards Derpy as a character, she is a symbol of this fandom, thats why I signed the petition. Though, for me it also makes no difference if she is called Ditzy or Derpy.
It really isn't "blind" rage. It's fully justified. This entire petition seems like one big troll, but sadly, we know it's not because there are people out there that simply lack enough foresight to have bad/incorrect perceptions as wild as this. While if this argument actually had any merit, I would agree. I threw on the petition how Goofy and Scooby Doo are far more mentally handicapped as opposed to Derpy--at least that's my opinion.
cant really trust anything iv been saying lately right now haha iv been very sleep deprived the past few days..... anywho i will say this is most likely for attention grabbing, and i didnt say blind rage i said blind (NERD rage) its a term used for those who go completely mental for the little things like gredo shooting first or Dr, who being bad now cause it no longer has the guy with the scarf
TBH, I understand the viewpoint. Some people could take it the wrong way, seeing as how Derpy was basically the image of Mental Retardation. But I don't know why people get so offended by it. It is a real-life issue that is a very shaky subject in most parts of the US. People are so afraid of offending people who can't defend themselves, so they try to avoid -directly- confronting said issue. Conclusion: Derpy should have stayed fandom.
