Show him the first two episodes, get some popcorn and enjoy watching someone slowly turning into a brony. If he's truly against it, who cares because you like it and that's all that matters.
Don't pay him any mind =) The next time he gives you a hard time, just look him square in the eye and tell him "I will love and tolerate the sh*t out of you" and then turn back around and go back to what you were doing. It signals that you don't care what he thinks, yet you respect his right to think it. This may not be how you feel, but I think it's the best route to take. Liking ponies isn't a bad thing, so I feel it's wrong to snap back at little comments. It's like... why defend something that isn't wrong? People are always going to judge each other for their tastes and stuff. You just have to accept that some people are going to think you're odd. Rock your oddity. Embrace your oddity. ^_^ It's not a bad thing when people judge you. It's human nature. It's gonna happen. You just have to let go of the anger it inspires in you and learn to carry on. =) This mindset came about from a lifetime of teasing xD Now that I'm an adult (well, as adult as 22 can be =P), I've looked back on my formative years and taken what lessons I can from it =)

There is an undeniable truth here, you shouldn't surround yourself with people who are just negative or you won't rise to your full potential.
I like the idea of achievements. There was recently a discussion on a forum I mod about the same thing. We decided for it and are currently figuring out exactly how we want to go about it. One thing I'd throw in is if we do have them make it so that there are tiers, and that your achievement marks show the latest version you got. Maybe if you have enough make it so you can chose 5 or so to show on your posts, and put a section in each user's profiles that shows all that they have unlocked. As for rewards, maybe make each one worth so many point. Then have the different rewards that you could unlock with so many points. Like let's say when you reach 1000 points you unlock an Everypony email just as an example. It could be a fun feature to play around with.
But in my case your bro would not lie, I do worship ponies in a way. The lessons at the end of episodes are great commandments anyway. Celestia is god, hail Celestia:Trollestia:. Rainbow Dash is patron deity of...AWESOME!

I think you should just take a step back and leave the situation alone for awhile. It's cliche but true; he's most likely just looking for a reaction. Just shrug it off and walk away and he'll leave you be. Keeping on fighting him and stuff isn't going to make anything better right now. It'll just elevate the situation.
