Well I will just go straight into the story. I'm classed at my school as the Nerd/Geek. Who always gets good grades and does well in sport. And for this reason some people hate me (quite frankly I couldn't care less) My class is home to a few of the biggest attention seekers in the school and I've been having a few persistent problems e.g. I'll be working in dead silence and I'll be almost finished my work when the main cause of my problem (I won't say his name) blurts out: "Gee Simon I didn't know you masturbated in private." or..."Simon is it true that you raped that teacher in the changing rooms." And when this happens EVERYBODY looks at me funny. It is getting on my nerves and the worst part is that the more I ignore him the more he persists. He just refuses to grow up and everything I do is gay in his eyes. every picture I draw, every sentence I say, every song I sing... And what is also bad is that because I am one of the nerds/geeks people forget that I am human and also make mistakes...I did badly in a test a few times. My gosh I've never heard the word idiot used so many times at once...all by the same guy. He also did better than me in an activity. (I was actually happy for him as the guy does no work and his grades are shocking) but as soon as I congratulated him all of a sudden he was better than me and I was the stupid one...and this goes on every day... My limits of love and toleration are fast approaching... when all of a sudden I get the new ep and I watch it and I must say I've never been happier. That Smile song made me smile from ear to ear. I am glad to have found this show. And I am glad to be part of this big community! This thread is just to get some of the frustrations off my chest but it is also a big thank you to the brony community and to the show itself. Thanks everypony for helping me with my past problems! Thanks Mlp for keeping me sane XD and thankyou Lauren Faust and all others involved in making this awesome tv show! Brohoof everypony! /)
Broohoof (\ Stay strong, I'm the class nerd as well and I also have to put up with idiots. It will get better, trust me. Think about it this way: You're smart, you'll go far in life, go to college, and actually make something of yourself! That kid who bothers you and sucks at school: I heard cardboard box homes are fantastic! :derpe: The truth is with these bullies is that their self esteem is much lower than yours. They realize they suck at life more than you so to make themselves feel better, they take it out on you. It may seem very hard to love and tolerate when you have someone constantly picking on you (I understand completely), but try your hardest to remain positive and happy. Always think happy thoughts and keep your spirits uplifted. We're all here for you, and making threads like these are a great way to get stress off your shoulders. Don't feel afraid that you'll "spam" the forums with your issues. We're all more than happy to listen and provide comfort!
/) I've been homeschooled since the fourth grade. Primarily because my school was full of disruptive children. Another reason was that I was always grouped with the disruptive children in the hopes that my demeanor would rub off on them. (Silly right? I mean the opposite would be more likely to occur.) So I've been homeschooled and I must say I'm happy for it. Other homeschoolers around these parts complain that they didn't really have access to friends, but I think I've got all the friends i need right here. <3 Here is to Peace, Love, and Tolerance.
OK... 1) Why would anyone masturbate in public? 2) If you raped a teacher, you would get a greater penalty then just annoying comments like that. 3) This guy doesn't seem too intelligent. 4) If you have to just reply with something like "Don't fantasize like that" (although try to avoid this road if you can) 5) Great to know that ponies helped you 6) Just carry on ignoring him. Like Mike said, they just insult others so their life seems better in comparison.
Awesome! I wasn't homeschooled, but when I was in middle school, up till about 9th grade I used to wish that I was. After 9th I realized how to keep disruptive people and bullies off my back, and I can say that my last few years in high school have been good. Every teacher I've had, I've always been their favorite student. I have a few friends, and to be honest, I'm really stretching the word "Friend". They do drugs, party and drink all the time. I'm not against partying, but I dislike drugs. So in terms of 'real' friends, I have 2, and I'm perfectly happy with that. The way I see it, is that it's better to have a few friends you relate to and can trust, versus a bunch that would backstab you for their own personal gains.
I had this happen to me during my time at my first school in North Carolina. Eventually, I snapped. After the kid tried to trip me for the last time, I spun around quickly and brought my palm between his jaw and his throat and gave him one last warning to stop. We became friends after that because another guy finally admitted to instigating the entire thing when he didn't believe me.
Thanks for sharing what this community has meant for you. And good luck with this annoying little kid in your class, I know what it's like when someone is picking on you all the time. It's not fun. I guess it's best just to shrug and ignore him as much as possible... Remember you are the wiser one here. You don't have to play along with is immature little games.
Oh God, I am SUCH a nerd on so many levels. I have excellent grades, I do well in technology, I despise sport, I'm a member of many, many cultures, I'm even an Otaku, for Christ's sake! With this, of course, comes the fact that you're generally regarded as part of the lower tier of school society. I do NOT get along well with many people from tiers above me, and I have no reason to associate myself with them. I simply ignore these fools, as I like to call them, and use rather sophisticated language against their endless stream of questions which clearly seek to downgrade me in any possible way. But hey, who'll be laughing once you're working as a boss in a massive corporation, watching them clean the hallways?
Wow guys thanks a lot! I'm typing this before I go to school and write my test. Reading your posts just boosted my mood and made me feel 20% Cooler! Lol I love the cardboard box idea! :derpe: And yeah that guy isn't very popular either. He talks in class and then afterwards asks for my book that I need to learn from because he wants to catch up...sorry for him because he isn't coming near those books of mine.
You can never have enough brohoof /) I wish the anti-bronies could see this side of the community. I'm also classified as the nerd/geek in my class, it sucks, but you can get through it. DOn't worry, everything will be okay in the end.
Stay strong, never let them get to you. No matter what they say, no matter what they do. You are better then some nobody bully. (\ -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Wow.. so he beats you down then 5 minutes later asks you for your book. Tell him to get his own! I hate when people ask me for my books and things, because whenever I give in and say "Yes" it always hurts me in the end. Either A) I miss some of the material or B) I don't get the book back in time and can't catch up for homework because now its in some guy's possession and I'll probably never get it back.
You could reply very loudly (like he does), "No, [name], stop asking me out. I don't swing that way," or some other sentence to try and embarrass him. Then if he tries to do it back, just shoot him a disproving look.
/) Well, good luck there buddy. Happy to hear that from you. Everypony's get at tight situations from time to time, but friendship IS magic, isn't it? Magically makes everything better. Keep enjoying the little pony friends you have here
