Sigh, Its been one year since a huge earthquake that happened in Christchurch, where 186 people died. That was a traumatizing event to hear, but even worse to experience first hand on September 4th, 2010. That place is still having aftershocks. All friends I know there are ok for now. I can still remember the event in my head...

Aye, I was visiting with the family when it happened, it was devestating, but not many people died during that one, the city continued to have aftershocks (around 2-5 or 6 on richtoscale) then on February, with all the buildings weakened, a huge aftershock occured, knocking down the city pretty much. The city has endured 10,146 quakes since September 4th 2010
I have no idea what being in a quake feels like. The only 2 that have happened in MD, I selpt though. They only shook some things off shelves. I'm not sure how I'd deal with something like that though. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
