I think that the General Discussion would be the most suitable place for this but if it isn't then by all means move it.

Anyway, if I am correct, this is the report based on that Brony Census many of us filled out a while ago. It's 89 pages long but it does make an interesting read. It's not just text, there are many pictures and it is quite well structured. Here's the link: http://herdcensus.com/2012 State of the Herd Report.pdf

The results tables are on page 50-65 with more detailed tables on the pages after that.

Feel free to discuss anything, I thought that people might be interested to read it.

    Favourite Pony: Twilight Sparkle
    Most common gender: Male
    Most common age group: 21-29
Education level for most bronies over 18: Some college, no degree
    Most common country: USA
    Bronies who own merchandise: 60%
    Public brony: 79%

Hey guys, you know how if a lot of people put Jedi as their religion in a census it would become an official religion?

Well, why not put "Brony" down on the next census as your religion, profit!

I dunno. A religion can be a good thing however the humans who are in control may f**k everything up.
    Maybe, even this fandom:O?

Finished reading and I must say that it was pretty interesting. It's a shame that I came into all of this after that survey had taken place for I would have loved to participate. It's nice that it kind of outlines in detail the different statistics about bronies and where they live, their, age, favorite character and when they came into the fandom and more. The report also helps to give you and idea as to how many other bronies there could be in your area and encourage people to try to find them. Thanks for sharing that with us, it was very interesting indeed. I will definitely participate in the survey this December though! It also didn't take as long to read as I thought it would.

I skimmed through most of it. Very interesting at how detailed it is.

If found it interesting that my state (Wyoming) is surrounded by high concentrated states while being mid range itself. only the South east is low concentration While mid-west and west is the highest

It's a pity South Africa wasn't mentioned but it would probably go down with a VERY low Brony count. As far as I can see I am the only one in my area...Oh well there is always everypony :p

2/100 are bronies in NJ. I'm not surprised at all.

I'm pretty sure that there are more bronies than the ones in the census but it was still interesting. They did the population of the states in USA and Canada. Maybe next time they can do the same with UK and Australia as well.
