They chose the opinions of trolls and "politically correct" people over the opinions of their hardcore fans. We have: Ed from Ed, Edd & Eddy Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants Deedee from Dexter's Laboratory Goofy from Disney cartoons SINCE THE 1930's!! But for some reason Derpy Hooves being a silly character is offensive?? Among many others, Family Guy and South Park are cartoons that are generally offensive in more ways than one, and they don't get cancelled! Why? I hope the Brony community won't let this rest! There is NOTHING wrong with Derpy Hooves! I think most of the people who complained about this are idiots from 4Chan! There i said it!
This just *** me off! Seriously! People are so aaaarrrgh! I don't even want to think about it as I loved derpy jut as she was! And the worst part is that if this continues...I mean trolls getting their way what will the world turn into!?

what the f*ck is the point of this? If anything, this just proves the opposite point of what theyre trying to make! Taking her out just proves to anyone who saw the original that people believe that there was something wrong with her, and that she needed to be removed and made "normal". The voice change bothered me, but what really pissed me off was the un-derping of her eyes. Its what made her unique, and it was the reason we loved her so much. to change that just crossed the line.
agreed, the very reason she got famous was from her eyes now they made her just a regular background pony, they took the very thing that made her big and they ruined it
It only takes 1 hole to sink a ship. Hasbro needed to keep themselves safe. Regardless if the complaints were legitimate or not, Hasbro needed to respond. It sucks, but it's also important to remember that it isn't their fault. If you want to blame someone, blame the overly-paranoid parents and anti-brony trolls. They're the real reason for Derpy's censoring.
I find the new voice to be annoying. But what I find even worse is that Rainbow Dash no longer says "Derpy", and they also edited her voice to sound less "mean" which is so out of character for her thus making the scene really awkward to watch. Now instead of acting frustrated, she acts sympathetic towards Derpy. 1) That seems even more offensive. 2) Since when is Rainbow Dash sympathetic?
So to make 50 people happy Hasbro instead pisses of 1 million people. Yeah that is much better. The 50 people that hate Derpy and complained to Hasbro are sick and disgusting people. I know who one of them is and I've already gotten into it with this sick individual. Makes me want to vomit that such hateful people are around and even have the nerve to call themselves Bronies. I was civil before but now I'm upset. If you were one of those people that protested to Hasbro to get rid of our Derpy, then I am disgusted with you. You discriminate against anyone that is different.
well, this is just my opinion but yall should live with the fact that they changed her voice besides you can't always please the fans. besides, wouldn't depry's old voice offend mentally challenged people or people who are slow?
There is nothing mentally challenged about the word "derp" derp means screwing something up, like the animation team screwing up her eyes in one of the first episodes. THAT is how she earned the name Derpy Hooves, and there's nothing wrong with that. As for her behaviour, there are cartoons out there with much worse characters.

Thats on the same logic as calling something lame insulting those who are physically handicapped. it just is stupid and they underped her eyes. they pretty much proved to the world that she wasn't "normal" enough to be on the show. which i think is slightly counterproductive, especially for a show that preaches love and acceptance
I don't like the new voice. It isn't because I'm used to the old one, but the new one seriously sounds like a fan dubbed it and not a professional trade voice actor. Also, Rainbow Dash speaks slightly fast, and it doesn't sound right. Next, Rainbow Dash's lines seem awkward, and it makes it even more confusing that this character is NEVER named, like ALL of other minor characters were. Hasbro, if Derpy is not good, then call her Ditzy. Or, you know what, call her something! Finally, Derpy causing accidents becomes 20% less funnier and less cute BECAUSE she is not derped!
Censoring the handicap is insulting and outright disgusting Allowing them to be a part of society is the correct thing. Those that were offended by the real Derpy are sick individuals and need to learn to love and tolerate. No I don't feel I have to tolerate those people. Kaiba, your thoughts are sick and twisted and I'm frankly very insulted by you and those that think like you. By your own views since you offend me, you shouldn't be allowed to talk. Of course this isn't true, you have the right to your twisted views and I have the right to mine. I have the right to tell you that I think you are wrong. Now I don't mean to attack you directly. Perhaps you didn't protest to Hasbro about this. There are some here that did though and those people make me sick. I'm being harsh because I'm trying to make you see my point. Forcing your personal views on others because your offended and don't like what other people say is not ok and you end up far worse than any of them because of it.
