Today was fun and Enjoy with my friends watching videos and cruising the town and whatnot. When i get home, everything is dandy but when my brother got home, he noticed that I got a Rainbow Dash Sticker i got from hot topic on my laptop and said right with my parents in the same room "Stop watching My Little Pony. We are having to a intervention about this and only saving from this."

To be honest that I thought I would be flaring up in fear, but i was emotionless and and said nothing and rolled my eyes, while i went back to my laptop that my father was working on and my folks said nothing and didn't care from what I seen. I'm in the Animation Department and I'd be dealing with stuff like this in the future. Plus Who Care, Mike? Who Cares? I guess only You. Glad my parents didn't look at me funny and weird for that outburst. It's a Show awesome and to be honest, I don't see whats wrong with it in the first place...It's just a bloody show, man.

I will always watch the show and continue to being a brony and die as one. there is nothing they can do. He doesn't like the fact that support and like the show, then Tough Cookies for him them.

*edit* I think my parents would love me to watch more shows that didn't evolve around violence and gore then watching ponies.

So guys, ask me anything! I do not mind. You can ask me...

    Anything.

Like what I like to do, what I do, what I want to do, where I am, my schedule, my life's value, my enemies, my friends a- okay, maybe I went a tad too far on that joke. Yeah, stuff like that, or maybe you just want to know my internet habits?

No, because nobody ever cares about that.

Be who you are and say what you mean because those who mind don't matter and those who matter won't mind.

Truly the words of a genius. As long as I'm not killing anyone and my grades are fine, nobody in my family seems to care.

Same here dude, my dad thought it was a little weird but it is better than blood, violence and gore. And to be honest it has helped me through tough parts of my life too.

EDIT such as now, I have a reward system here, I am doing a lot of school work so what I tell myself is that if I can focus and get a major task done without interruptions I get a 2 minute pony break. It works like a bomb :D

Meh, haters gonna hate. Some people will never get it, and we have to respect that. Won't change the fact what I think about the show or wether or not I watch it.

You need an intervention for watching a show that you enjoy, and you are not harming yourself nor anyone else. *facepalm*

Thanks guys and a intervention made me wanna laugh but then again i just shrug it off like it was no big deal and my folks had nothing to say about any intervention crap.

I know my brother is an idiot, no big surprise. Didn't do so well in school unlike me. I know i'm better then him.

Good on you admitting to it like that. It takes guts to go against social norms.

Seriously? They went through all that trouble to try and stop you? I just don't get how some peoples' brains work.

I know how you feel. I don't think my parents truly know that I am a brony. They've seen me watch an episode on tv but they just thought I was trolling my sister. I haven't really been in a conversation where I'd have to bring up my bronyism. I just carry on what I'm doing and if they catch me, I'll just explain it to them.

My post was talking about Turk's incident by the way.

I had this fear when I first started as a brony. My house is very small and my computer doesn't have room to be put in my room. It's in a main room where my parents frequent as well as my little sister. So I had planned keeping it a secret for as long as possible (which was very hard to do). Into my 2nd week of being a brony, me being stupid, I forgot to lock my windows account before getting up to go eat. My mom walks by and sees a big pony background on my PC. I walk back into the room and she's sitting there with a grin on her face. "Did you put that there, or your sister?" I hate lying as it is, so I admitted that I did it. And after that revelation, I had to go into details as to why I liked ponies, how I'm not the only one, I'm not a pedophile, blahblah. She laughed at the fact that I had the fear to hide something so silly like that, and it made me feel awkward that she had to find out herself. But as a result of them knowing, a huge weight was lifted off me.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's harder to explain if they find out and if you're put on the spot as a result. It's much better to just sit down and explain it to ONE parent first (The one you are most comfortable with), luckily the case of being my mom. Get one to side with you, and it is easier to explain to the other parent.

Also, I have no idea what sort of relationship you have with your parents. Mine is rather close and my parents can be judgmental at first, but are easily persuaded after I explain it to them thoroughly. I'm just providing my experience, hoping you may find some sort of advice from it.

I really couldn't resist, and I usually had my browser open at all times so they never noticed. Plus it's my personal computer, but it's just not in my room. But as a result of them knowing I feel much more free, and I've ponified my entire computer (including the boot process lol). It's a little bit awkward, but randomly my mom will come home with a pony figure or something and give it to me. I don't complain, in fact it's rather nice so I don't have to bare public humiliation of getting one myself (which I'm trying to currently overcome). She just understands it I guess. I liked Powerpuff Girls as a kid, and I used that as one of the reasons why I liked MLP. My dad doesn't even care, which is perfectly fine by me.

I went through the same thing about a month ago. Since then, my brother has become less of an *** now.

I just don't act like it is a big deal nowdays, there is nothing wrong with being a brony and therefore I have gathered I should not act like it were some kind of shameful secret.

I will not confess to my father, but I couldn't care less if he heard me mention it or saw my pony background, my reaction would simply be: "It's a good show, I do watch it and I am proud, deal with it."
