Alot of people in my year, some of my teachers and a few students in other years know that I'm a brony. They couldn't give a flying feather about it. The people who seem to care the most are my non-brony friends, but they do it for a joke.

I don't think my family know but I've never really found myself in a situation where I've had to explain to them about being a brony. They saw me watching an episode on Boomerang but they just thought I was just annoying my sister (who wanted to watch TV at that moment in time).

Looks like I'm going to be REALLY busy until June. The fun never ends.

I got my results today as well. Considering my GCSE science results have guaranteed me a place in A-Level Physics, this AS course doesn't really matter, although I still did well in it. The other exam was English, which I did well in even though I despise the subject and I'm not continuing it at A-level. I just need to do well in Maths, which is one of my strong points.

This isn't really worth a thread, as it doesn't really matter, but I believe this will be my last post for quite a while.
Personal matters and pressures have made me realise that I need to make the most of the time I have, so I need to buckle down, pull my socks up and get on with it. For I fear that not doing so will be a massive mistake.

This site is an unintentional distraction, and it is my own fault for being on here when I have more important matters to settle, so for that reason, I'm going to be absent until the end of the month (yeah, not that long, just over 3 weeks).

I will hop on to check for any messages regarding the meet-up and to reply on the thread, but apart from that, I'm off.
Hit me up on Skype when I'm on, but I will want to voice chat, as I can multi-task when doing so.

    Talk to you guys later~

(maybe I'll hop on in my free time when I've caught up with work)

Yikes, I know that feel. Might not be seeing much of me either over the next few weeks, I'm going to be busy as anything until exams are done, especially with retakes now a firm possibility. I'm not leaving the site, but my free time is going to take a massive hit.

Just putting this out there so you guys will know what's up if I'm not around as much as I have been.

Understandable from both of you. Studies come first. Ponies can come after grades. Don't worry, we'll still be here waiting for you. *hugs*

Sorry to hear that guys, I hope you can get back on track with what needs to be done. It's completely understandable, and I'm sure in your temporary absences you will be thought of by all of us.

Yup. After getting the shoddy results today it finally gave me that kick in the backside I need to start getting on with my work and revision.

    Thunderhawk extraction imminent.

Pff, same here. C grade is not good at all.

I need at least an A in everything.

I don't care as much as I should when it comes to exams. Can I just ask what motivates you guys? I normally do well but I still lack that drive to put in that extra effort.

Can't help you there. I get Bs and As without trying particularly hard. Except in Literature. then I have to read a lot of analyses, because I never understand what an author's hidden meaning is supposed to be.

I normally get high grades as well but I still think I need to start putting in that extra effort for A-levels. I've been coasting since I started school. Everyone's saying that GCSE to A-Level is a huge jump. I know I need to put more effort in but I just can't be asked. Maybe the extra workload will motivate me when I get it.

Also, about the literature thing, it annoys me as well. I just make it up. For example:

The green grass represents the struggle of the working class in 1920s America because it is constantly stepped. The way it grows from its roots underground represent the tough upbringing and work conditions. It is green because the green represents the working class' envy towards the upper class.#

Obviously the author chose the words "green grass" because grass has the colour green. However, saying that wouldn't get you the marks. I know it's stupid and I completely made all of that up on the spot but just look for anything at all that you can analyse.

Earlier today, I was analysing a poem about a Hawk and I ended saying that the poet was foreseeing a robot rebellion. I managed to give valid evidence as well. My English teacher wasn't too impressed though. She hates it when I derail the topic.

    I analyse everything.
It's my favourite part of English.

I can analyse, but I can't write to save my life.

I have no trouble analysing or interpreting texts, and find it easy to gain knowledge through reading and study. The main problem I face, much like Testy, is getting my ideas down on paper. I could talk about the Vietnam War solidly for an hour, but when it comes to writing a timed essay I struggle horribly. I have some serious issues with our education system; thirty minutes is just not enough time to write anything knowledgable or meaningful about anything. What should be important is that I know the information, not how fast I can physically write down my ideas in a way an examiner can understand them.

On the contrary, writing about something is showing to the examiner that you understand the topic, not simply know it.
