I miss playing metroid prime. The music from that game are memorable and eerie.

Pokemon Lavender town Green Beta music. DO NOT LISTEN TO IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE BELOW THE AGE OF 12.it is known that the song itself has binaural beats and high-pitched frequencies which are known for causing (and, in this case, were deliberately used to cause) discomfort, possibly to an extreme extent.

I'm not going to lie, this music just scared me. And it doesn't help that I'm home alone with the house already getting dark because of the sun is now setting.

    *quick edit*
O f**k! I replayed the song and it still has me spooked. : S

I'd put it in a top 3-5 for creepy music. The backstory of it is super creepy, though. I keep seeing people claiming it's all fake, though, or at least the version considered "real" is not actually the original they claim it to be.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrMLHUE4_Vw -- (Not direct linking/embedding for obvious reasons.)

Intended for stereo headphones, I really don't recommend it. Though I use stereo headphones and have no issues listening to this, not everyone is as impervious to this stuff as me.

    Edit Addendum: http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Lavender_Town

Maybe it's just an intentional hoax? Makes you wonder, though...

Well, you are not in the age-range of 6-12, that's why it doesn't affect you that much. Here's the full backstory (and it's the truth):

The one you have at home (if you own the cartridge) is not the original one. The original one was dangerous, thus, Nintendo re-edited it and removed (I guess) the binaural beats and high-pitched frequencies.

I listened to part of the original Lavender Town song in the middle of the night at a party of mine once when I was still 12. Maybe I just have a high tolerance for Creepy VGMs but it didn't seem f-ed up at all to me.

I meant I can stomach the creepy music in general. I'm sure that it's actually on YouTube, but I also feel that such a dramatic effect could be applied to a lesser degree on some people out of that age group. Spooky thing is, binaural beats are supposed to have positive effects, not negative ones.

That's from the end of the wiki page. Honestly, based on all the pokemon fanatics I know, and being involved in the original series, I would've thought I'd have heard something as extreme as this.

    Crazy, crazy stuff.

Also there's a local Boston band that makes white noise, and they have an album called Silliage. Check it out. I couldn't find it on youtube though.

Let's wheel an ol' classic into the fray, shall we?

Not only did this song add fuel to the fire of speculation for the 'Paul is Dead' theory by supposedly saying 'Turn me on, dead man." when played backwards but was also largely loathed by Beatles fans. Apparently, John Lennon wanted to do something similar to the kind of weird stuff Yoko Ono did. So, in Abby Road, they constructed this. I remember being told that they believed all music would sound like this in the future. Even more astonishingly, people have attempted to cover this. Some how....

I think I found the song from the Cupcakes video, but I'm not checking, because I'm not watching that again (I threw up).

Aw, you watched the wrong Cupcakes video, then. I saw the one with Andrew WK as the music. It was awesome, and much better done. I almost forgot about RD's evisceration.
