Hey everypony! It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since this site came to be... haven't we grown! It's wonderful that this community has become the amazing one it is! There have been a number of things done to celebrate this event, so without further ado, here they are! And this isn't a namby pamby 5 minute music video... this is 29 MINUTES OF CALCULATING, CATASTROPHIC, CHARISMATIC, CLASSY CLEVER COMBOS! Enjoy everypony! Everypony Anthem by Swift and Foxytail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78hytn1JXzI Swift and Foxytail have made a song in honour of Everypony! A word from Foxy: The song perhaps isn't the best, and there is many things that can (and will) be done to improve it... but in a way, that's like this community and site as a whole. There are things that could be improved, that could probably be removed and can be added to it. Though this wasn't our intention, let's call this the first step in a path towards something bigger, better and much more awesome for everypony! Review Contest! Tyro the Fox, our resident critic, is planning on hosting a reviewing contest with a number of categories and prizes! Keep on the lookout in the Leather Bound Book (In general discussion forums) and here for more information! In the meantime, read some books, play some games and watch those movies with your critic glasses on, it could get you some prizes! And here it is everypony! Read from this post and have some fun! EPR Collective That's right everypony, you read what you saw! Everypony is going to do its very own EPR collective, a parody of Jon Lajoie's WTF Collectives! But to do this, we need MC's, so who else would be better than the members themselves! So if you feel like representing everypony, just want to have fun in a silly rap or want to hear your voice on the radio, be sure to sign up! Before I tell you how, some requirements and notes to take into account: 1) You must be able to get a decent quality recording of yourself singing. Voices can be edited to be made louder/quieter, but we can't edit in sound quality! 2) You can request your own MC name but we may have something in mind for you so be open minded for ideas! 3) You can request which part of the song you get, but there will no doubt be conflicts. When the ponies are selected, there will be a discussion over which parts they get, so again, be open minded! 4) Once parts are chosen, you can write your own lyrics or have them written for you. Be warned, if they are written for you, there will be a lot less leeway in what you can manipulate. 5) Finally, this is meant for fun, so don't take it too seriously and be sure to have a blast! The background music will be made myself, but if you want to take it up or want to help out, be sure to tell me as I'll take any help! So how do you request? Simple! MC Part - Send me a PM with the subject "EPR COLLECTIVE PART", your chosen MC Name, part to fill and whether you want to write your own lyrics or not in the message. We need to get a huge group together and have everyone sing Winter Wrap Up. Like, each person is assigned a separate pony/chorus and sings their own parts and sends it all to the same person to condense it into a single file. That would be the greatest thing ever, who's interested?
I have been wanting to do something like this for forever! Count me in. Happy birthday Everypony Network! Good to see the site is still around, and hopefully it still will be for a long time to come. Saikyo, awesome job on the combo video. That was really well done, and I hope I never have to play against you at any fighting games ever. Swift & Foxytail, interesting anthem you both came up with. I'm liking it. Ooh, and some more events! The review contest sounds interesting. Not sure what exactly to expect for it, so I'll have to keep watch if anymore details come to light. You already know my thoughts about EPR Collective, since I already threw my name into that. Another karaoke night?! Gah! Time to stop procrastinating and figure out a better method for mixing music and my singing. Good to see that you're starting to gather ideas for the next theme. I'll have to see what I can come up with and send them off to you.
I would be up for this. Although a lot of people are volunteering for this so I'm not sure if I'm too late. As for the karaoke night. I have to do something this time. I just need to keep the rest of my family occupied downstairs. I've already showed interest in the EPR collective. Unless I have to apply again.
