Good news! My Mum just told me that I'm gonna be able to go on the Bus soon That means my self-Esteem should go up!
Oh my, that sounds like a rough time, but I understand why you would lose respect for humanity. Just recently I'm being bullied with Verbal abuse and sexual comments by male builders all over twice my age, just because of the way I dress. They probably have children of their own, and don't realise how insecure and distressed they can make people feel. They acted like a pack...Complete brutish group mentality. Like most humans, they think grouping together is an excuse to hate on those different from their own 'pack'. Like a petty game they think resembles 'survival of the fittest' But then again, I have been lucky in meeting people that really love and care for me. Even though we're in a little group of our own, It's a group that's willing to accept anybody who has been rejected by their society/peers for being 'different'. I strive to be as diverse and tolerant as I can, and I never turn away someone who wants to escape any oppression. I managed to emancipate myself from the clutches of a horrible and tormented past. The only way is forward! That's the way I see it.
That's good news! I really do wish the best for you and I hope your confidence flourishes until one day you're wearing your brony badge with complete pride.
I wore my brony shirt to college for one whole day and here's what happened. My friends liked it, others didn't really care, but the coolest thing happened at work, which is also on campus, a guy I did not even know came in to look for a tutor saw my shirt and applauded me on my it thinking it was the best thing ever. That last part made my day.
Rule 34, ironically, existed before the internet became an acceptable dumping ground for it. People who are stuck on this fandom producing rule 34 art are really shortsighted. There is mountains and mountains of SFW artwork of extreme detail and talent.
I don't care if the artist work is R34. Have you seen slugbox's work. I don't care what he draws, he is one of the artist I draw influences from. Only thing I've had bad happen to me is my is people think I'm gay because I like ponies. Whatever, not a big deal. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Aww, that would make me smile, too! Luckily my friends are into MLP, although I suppose I'm the only one who wears shirts/makes clothes with FIM characters and imagery, but they always compliment them At least you got positive reaction!
Haha, that's just incredibly sad. Even so that they're using 'gay' as an insult, implying that it's something to be ashamed of. It's just another label, one that is easily shrugged off I'd imagine.
Even better, they are all over the age of 20. I *sarcasm*LOVE*sarcasm* this planet. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
When haters realize we pick all the ladies.... ^^ Our fandom is an incentive for those girls that are worthy on the long run... If you're into true love...
The other day to people came up to me and tried to bully me and my friend. It was quite amusing because they epicly failed. They even tried racism and I wasn't affected. I learnt not to care what anyone else thinks and that's worked perfectly.
I'm 30 an watch the show. Plus I'm also a known music producer & DJ. I don't care people think. I was so many other cartoons as well it shouldn't do. Just because people feel need to make an example of a persons taste in fandom & TV series thats aimed at the younger generation doesn't mean they are right to do so.
I get called a *squee!*got every day. One of these days... They only target me because I'm fat, passive, and apparently gay because of a TV show. If I ignore them, they do things I can't stand. As a matter of fact, I got scooped today. Again. For the fourth time this month. I can't stand that. I may just adopt a new philosophy, that of "You ruin my life, I end yours." But my sense of morality keeps me from doing anything. Sigh...
