Hello everypony, and welcome to my brand-new RP thread! Before you comment on the story: Yes, the idea basically comes from "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon". If you don't like that, just ignore this thread. Before I start with the story, please register that this RP is supposed to be a long one if everything's going as planned, and that the posts should not be too short if possible. Everyone who wants to play please send me a PM including this: ~Name of your character ~Sex of your character ~Species (earth pony, unicorn or pegasus) ~Appearance (image or text) ~physical or mental disabilities (optional) ~Stats The last point is meant do describe your abilities. There are four abilities for every species: ~Agility (how fast you can run/fly and how good you can evade stuff) ~Intelligence ~Quick Thinking ~Power (earth ponies only) ~Magic (unicorns only) ~Wingpower (pegasi only) Every stat goes from 1 to 10, and you can give away a maximum of 20 points. These stats will play a role in this role play, so choose wisely. You will also be able to improve these abilities later. Additionally I will place one deplaced sentence inside the non-italic text below. Please quote that one as well in your PM. You're missing "character" or "weakness"? You just play them and don't need to name them. I don't want you to write loooong texts before the RP starts The RP will start as soon as possible, which means as soon as I have four more players. The stallion was standing inside a huge hall with hundreds of glassy coffins that were linked to one great machine in the middle of the hall. "Most of the results haven't woken up yet, but a few are just about to do so." Princess Celestia nodded and took a look at some of the ponies that were lying there like little fillies in incubators. But these ponies were no fillies, they were grown-up ponies - earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns. They were the last hope of Equestria's population, the last ones to stop Equestria from dying. For a few years everypony in Equestria had become weaker and weaker. Celestia was the first one to notice it, as she was unable to move both sun and moon anymore and needed Luna to help her. Then there were Celestia's students. The unicorns lost great parts of their power, and after a while even Twilight Sparkle were hardly able to move small objects using her magic. The pegasi didn't feel any better. I love cookies. It didn't take long for them to lose their ability to fly. And the earth ponies? Well, they lost their physical powers and were nearly unable to harvest. It was an extremely hard time, a hopeless time. "And you're sure they won't be affected?", Celestia asked. The scientist nodded. "They are immune to these microbes that cause the problem. All experiments have been successful. But I only can hope they find the thing that causes the radiation which creates these microbes. I pray they find a way to avert the destiny Equestria will meet else. I Hope they are able to live in an Equestria as we know it, like normal ponies." "They're created ponies", Celestia added, "they are what we need to help us. But they are still ponies like you and I. They even have real names and aren't perfect..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You're playing one of these cloned ponies. You don't have a cutie mark yet, and whenever you enter the RP, you wake up from your "sleep". You do have basic abilities (like reading, talking, walking etc), unicorns even know some basic magic (levitating small objects, for example) and pegasi can fly. Good question. Wingpower is how fast and strong pegasi are with their wings, while agility only uses the ponies' legs. A pegasus with high wingpower might even be able to carry an other pony.
You mean a pony that looks like Twilight Sparkle and has her abilities, for example? I don't mind, although you should reduce your pony's abilities a bit. (And it still needs an other name and doesn't have a cutie mark^^)

OFFICIAL FIRST POST One of the ponies suddenly moved its body, and a red lamp on the machine in the middle of the room started to blink. Two of the scientists immediately ran over to the incubator their computer had marked and looked at the pony. Yes, it was moving - it just was about to wake up! After a few seconds the stallion behind the glass slowly opened his eyes. One of the scientist pushed a few buttons, and the glass moved away with a silent fizzling. "He's awake. Life signs are firm, pulse at 85, blood pressure normal. Princess Celestia! One of them has woken up already!" The grass-green coated stallion had opened his eyes completely now and stared at the two scientists. He did not know what had happened, he was a little confused, but he didn't seem to be panic or frightened, no, he looked... naive. Everything around him was totally new. Well, he did not have any memories, he did not remember his non-existant parents, but he knew a few things. Nothing personal, just the most necessary things they needed now. "Hello? Note Sheet, can you hear me?" The stallion turned his head around fitfully and opened his mouth. "Y... yes, I can hear you. But... what is that here? Where am I? Why..." the scientist raised his hoof. "This must be very confusing for you, I know, but I promise that you will get to know everything soon." Now even Princess Celestia had reached them. she was the most majestic, most wonderful, most... impressing creature Note Sheet had ever seen. Well, that wasn't a big surprise. He hadn't seen anything yet. "I'm so glad you're finally awake, Note Sheet", Celestia spoke with a warm voice. "I promise to explain a few tings as soon as some of the other ponies are awake." Note Sheet looked around again. "How many ponies do you have here?", he asked. "How many? At the moment we have thirty finished experiments here and twenty more in progress." Note Sheet shoke his head. "Experiments? What is that supposed to mean..." Celestia answered his question once more: "I will explain that soon." OT: Here you go! Wake up and panic, or whatever^^ You are allowed to play Celestia and the scientists here.
Haze Awakens As hazes eyes began opening, they instantly shut again, the light of the room blistering her eyes. She tried to open them again, trying to make out the area around her. She rolled her eyes around the room, trying to soak in the surroundings, but with little success thanks to the pain she was experiencing. She groaned, and tried to sit up, banging her forehead against a glass window she hadn't been able to make out. Rubbing her head, she groaned even louder, her head retreating back to her pillow and slamming down upon it. A Silhouette of a pony creep'd over the glass of the tube-like container she was stored in. The glass slid away, and Haze sat up. She looked around, only seeing shapes floating around her vision. As the images came to her, she saw a large white pony, with both wings and a horn, looming over her. She didn't like this pony being so close and flailed her hooves at the pony, saying under her breath "Get.... Away..." Her eye-sight still blurry, she could only make out the shape of this figure, some colours too. She couldn't yet hear properly nor see the ponies mouth moving, but she knew that that pony was saying something... Heaven knows what... So she simply gave up and collapsed back into the strange glass tube. The soft pillow against the back of her head was very welcoming, enticing her to just go back to sleep. The hooves that reached in and shook her had the opposite effect.
After Note Sheet's awakening the tube right next to him the same red light had appeared the two scientist that had helped Note Sheet ran to the tube. "Another! Just from a few seconds of Note Sheet!". They looked at the computer and pushed multiple colorful buttons and the green liquid from the tube slowly drained and the the glass opened making the small black pony to fall onto the ground. Edge coughed up the liquid he stood up and looked around his surrounding and his eyes grew in fear he used his magic to lift a chair and throw it at the one of the scientist and he dodged the projectile and hit the glass leaving a large crack suddenly things grew dark he looked up and saw a large white pony with a beautiful flowing mane Edge eased when he saw her. "Don't be afraid we are here to help," Edge looked at her for a few seconds and sat onto the ground and curled up into a ball looking at the ponies near him.
Zephyr slowly opened his eyes and instantly was blinded by a volley of light. He squinted his eyes in protection, but concentrated on learning more about this new thing he had seen which oddly beckoned to him and filled his body with a slight of warmth. His pupils began to adjust to the dull light of the lab as the rest of Zephyr's senses began to operate as well. He could hear the dull roar of machines around him mixed with muffled speech. He could smell the musty air inside of his tank and upon focusing on that sense, his own scent. He could feel the cold steel touching his skin and as he reached out slowly to touch the glass he felt the the muscles in his foreleg work in unison to bring him motion. He could taste something truly indescribable in his mouth, it was moist and unpleasant, but he soon ignored it. Everything was just so... new. Without warning, a sharp light shone over the tank and a ringing was emitted from the incubator as the glass panel slowly rose up and filled his space with new scents, sights, and sounds. Zephyr blinked a bit and attempted to take a step forward but fell to the ground as his body had mostly atrophied. Another pony ran across the room and helped him to his hooves as he staggered about. The feeling slowly began to rise inside of his limb. "W-What's going on...?" He said in a quietly dazed state.
Haze shook off the pony dragging her out the capsule, pushing her away. The big white-coated pony with the wings and horn had disappeared off somewhere, leaving Haze with a yellow pony with a white lab-coat on. As Haze pushed the pony away, she backed off a little, dazed and confused as to her whereabouts. She was slightly scared of where she was, the groaning of machinery and the strange, large ponies surrounding her.But as she looked around, she saw she wasn't the only one in this situation. There were many ponies around, all seemingly in the same position as herself. But at that exact moment, the yellow pony pounced on her, holding Haze still, trying to calm her down, to keep control. "Wh-Why am I here, what's happening?" cried Haze at the yellow pony. "Didn't you listen?", the yellow pony replied. "You're a success! You're the next generation..."
Cherry Berry awoke with a song in her head, some disjointed melody she came up with as she listened to the beeps and hums of the machines around her. Her blue eyes fluttered open. She could hear muffled voices as she glanced through the glass in front of her. "This one just woke up as well. 'Cherry Berry'. Cherry Berry, can you hear me?" The glass cover slid away from Cherry's face and was replaced with a blinding light. "She appears responsive, like the others.'' So, there are others? "Cherry Berry? Can you hear me? Please respond." Cherry blinked several times in an attempt to get the spots out of her vision. "Ugh...I can hear you..." "Great! Are you able to leave the chamber?" "I'll...I'll try..." She moved one foreleg, then the next, tossing them over the sides of the capsule. Then, with a little bit of effort, she pulled herself up. Her mane partially obscured her vision, but she noticed that there were indeed others like her. Several others. A few of them seemed to be awake and moving around. "Cherry Berry, my name is Midnight Oil. These other ponies," he said, motioning to the other clones, "Are your friends." "Friends? Oh, that's good. I didn't like being by myself."
Dark Shine woke up with an itch on his left wing and to the noise of machines all around the room. His eyes were a blurr and he could hear the faint sound of a pony, talking. When his hearing and sight recovered he took in his suroundings. He was in a small pod like device, with a glass door and white casing. There was a Pony on the outside of the 'Pod' who began to talk. "Looks like he is awake." She were green with a white lab jacket and goggles on top of her explosion of a mane. "Dark Shine if you can hear me knock on the glass." Dark Shine banged his hoof on the glass. "Ok. Good." The pod opened to reveal a bright, almost blinding, light. "Good. your reflexes are working. Now could you step out of the pod?" Carefull Dark put his first hoof down and out onto the floor outside of the pod. "Now, Dark Shine I am going to have to ask you some questions. I want you to answer them how YOU see fit. Ok?" "Um... Ok" Dark Shine did'nt know what to do. It felt like he was bieng played, but he could see by the look of the Pony in front of him, he felt a bit safe aswell. "Good. How old are you?" "I... I dont know..." "Good...Good... Now then, What is this place?" "I... I dont know..." "Good... Thank you for answering the questions." "That was it?" Asked Dark a little confused. "Yes." Replied the Pony. "Ok. Now I have some questions." Dark shine stepped a bit forward "First of all... Who are you?" "Me?" The green pony looked shocked. "My name is Green Peace." "Am I the only other one here?" Asked Dark Shine. Green Peace had a shocked look on his face. "See for yourself!" Green Peace gestured to the other clones. "These Ponies will be some... Friends."
"I want to go... Let me go..." Haze didn't like it here, in this dingy, loud room. The yellow pony had explained a little bit about what was happening to Haze, but had left a lot of information for later. From what she knew, though, 30 ponies were here to do... something. What, she didn't know nor care- She wanted to leave. "Young lady, I couldn't possibly let you go. Now stand there and wait, you'll know everything once everypony else awakens." "But if there are 50 other ponies like me", asked Haze (30 here, 20 elsewhere), "Why do you need me? You've got the ponies you need." "You've all been created for individual purposes. You're a rather agile pony, for example. We need you all for your abilities, and working togeth-" "Are we starting now? Everypony's awake." "..." ((Shall we get talkin'? Everypony on the list seems to be here...))
Cherry Berry, with a little help from Midnight Oil, (whom she leaned on for support), took a few steps around the large chamber. "Can I help wake the others?" Midnight chuckled. "We don't 'wake' them per se. Just let them wake up on their own, okay?" He stopped and took a step away from her. "Can you stand on your own yet?" The pink pony wobbled for a bit, but didn't fall. Her legs shook slightly as she replied, "I think so. Wait, where are you going?" she added as she spied Midnight walking over to another "pod". "I have other work to do, Cherry Berry. Just take this time to acclimate yourself to your surroundings and chat with your friends." Cherry hung her head slightly. "Oh...okay..." As she turned away to find another pony, she could've swore she heard the scientist say, "...nothing like the original..." The Original? What's that supposed to mean? As she wondered about Midnight's comment, she noticed a green unicorn speaking to another scientist. Slowly and steadily (her legs weren't too sturdy yet), she made her way to her "friend". She almost didn't want to interrupt, but before she realized it, she found herself saying, "Hello, friend. I'm, uh, Cherry Berry. What's your name?"
Note Sheet still didn't really know what was going on. He wasn't the only pony that had been sleeping here, and some of the other ponies also had woken up one after another. Airy inquisitively took closer looks at the ponies. The first one that had woken up was a red-brown pegasus with yellow and green colors in its mane, a mare. Other than Note Sheet see seemed to panic after she had woken up. Strange... The next pony to wake up was a unicorn with a black coat and a blue-grey mane, complex paradigms decorating its body. This one, a stallion, did not seem to be scared as well. The grey blue-maned pegasus stallion that woke up right after the unicorn seemed to be frightened again, but he kept relatively calm. Neither a pegasus nor a unicorn was the next pony to wake up. The pink earth pony mare just looked confused but not scared. And eventually one other pegasus stallion woke up. He had a grey coat and a black-white mane. Nopony of them seemed to know anything - neither where they were nor what they were doing here. But the big white pegasus unicorn he had seen first was starting to speak. "Okay, everypony. Please follow me. There are things I need to explain to you." Note Sheet thought about that sentence. According to that it was right that none of these sleeping ponies knew anything. The best thing really would be if they just followed the magnificent pony. Note Sheet rolled down from his... bed and tried to stand on his hooves. He stll was a little shaky, but it only took a few seconds until he was able to make his first step after his long sleep. Obviously the other ponies also weren't too sure what to do and looked nervous and some even a little scared. Maybe he should talk to them? The pink earth pony took his choice by talking to him first: "Hello, friend. I'm, uh, Cherry Berry. What's your name?" Note Sheet didn't really know what to say, but somehow he responded all on his own. "My name is... Note Sheet... At least I think so. That big white pony had called me so, I think then it's my name. But... I don't remember anything else... What is all this..." His thoughts were interrupted by one of the scientists: "One more! There is an other pony waking up!" OT: Alright, you can talk to another now if you want, and later I will post Celestia's speech where she explains everything. You can also just describe your character's behaviour or just walk out of the room^^
Everypony in the room was awake now. Some went into the room, but others seemed to be lagging behind a little. Haze felt uncomfortable going i right now, and decided she might stay in here too. The yellow pony that had dragged Haze out of bed was signalling her to go in the room, but instead, she pounced back into her glass pod, and sat down. The yellow pony shook her head and went into the other room, with the white pony. "Come in when you're ready..." she said as she went in. Haze sat in her pod. She looked around the room in a way resembling a meerkat, sitting with her front legs in the air, looking from side to side. On her left, a green pony and a pink pony where conversing. The pony from the pod to her right was a pegasus stallion, with a blueish coat. He was wobbling around, uneasy on his feet. Haze watched the stallion from her pod, as he stumbled about, trying to keep balance. As the ponies started trying to get up, the room started getting louder and louder both with the conversation and the crashing of ponies against floors and walls. Haze had already gotten up, so she just watched the pony to her right, as he struggled across the room.
Shining Shield woke up, but did not open his eyes. He immediately tried to figure out what was happening. Unfortunately, he had no memory of anything happening before this exact moment. He opened his eyes, and was temporarily blinded by the bright light. He waited impatiently for something to happen. A silhouette leaned over him. "Shining Shield?" His name, he supposed. "Yes?" he responded. "He's awake!" shouted the silhouette. "Perhaps someone could inform me on what, exactly, is happening?" Shining Shield requested, with a hint of irritation. "Ah, in just a few minutes the Princess will fill everyone in. Please, feel free to get up and excersise." The silhouette, which Shining Shield could now see was a scientist or lab assistant of some sort, trotted off to start work on some other apparently important project. Shining Shield attempted to sit up, which was a struggle. 'Perhaps I COULD use some excersise,' he thought. He wondered why there was a scientist greeting him as he woke. Surely that wasn't normal... He heard talking and looked in the direction from which the noise was coming. It seemed there were several other ponies that had appeared to have just woken up in the same fashion he had, if the other empty "beds" were any indicator. He clambered awkwardly out of his capsule and faceplanted on the floor. Quickly looking to make sure nopony had seen (they hadn't), he got up and leaned himself against his former resting place in order to keep his balance.
