Do you skip or mute the MLP introduction sequence? To remove that one embarrassing reminder that you are watching a kid's show? I will admit that I do skip it sometimes, but never again. Take the time to read this and understand that the intro is much more than a girly, non-canon fantasy introduction of Twilight's venture into Ponyville. http://www.mlponies.com/2012/04/06/dont-skip-the-intro/ tl;dr, People have way to much time on their hands and force me into rethinking how I watch children's cartoons.
If I don't have my windows open or if there isn't anyone in I won't mute it. If they are however, oh boy, it's muted right away.
I never skip intro. it kinda grew up on me. So what if I like girly kid show, I like it and people will have to deal with it. Yes, I admit it's kinda girly, and could get someone wrong idea about the show, but at this level, I don't seem to care much about that fact. thing is: ponies =
For the first 15 or so episodes I couldn't stand the title sequence. But after that (1 and a half days later) I loved it. I was singing it to myself throughout most of the day. Then I started listening to it through headphones and that made it sound much better. I could really appreciate the music whilst wearing headphones and I'd recommend it to any of you.
Headphones really do make everything better. And I do like the intro, the song is catchy. The reason why I sometimes skip is mainly because we've all seen it a million times and I'd just like to get to the episode. We all know we do it. The purpose of that article I linked to shows that the intro has a greater purpose than just a catchy song and showing the characters, but it seems like I'm the only one who read it. It gave me a greater appreciation to the introduction and the show as a whole.
When watching a series with an intro online. I do skip them. BUT! I do watch it for every new episode. Meaning I only skip intros when rewatching the episode.
Actually, the main reason i like the intro isn't even necessarily the lyrics and singing and whatnot, but the drumming in the background. heh. being a drummer myself, i'd like to learn it and see if i couldn't make it a little more metal. wouldn't be too hard.
