95% of your posts are from the GCT. That just proves my point really. And only 5% of that 95% was constructive via ORDINARY social standards (Such as rants that make sense and form a point, arguments, etc.) (I also hope you guys realize that this is being examined by the mods to determine whether or not community driven polls could work. <3 you all.)

That is actually somewhat accurate. Even if the GCT no longer contributes to post counts, I don't think it should be removed. It may not be the most constructive thread but it can be entertaining to read. Surely entertaining other members could be seen as constructive.

The majority of your posts come from the GCT, which is a source of so-called 'chat', when in reality, all it is is just chaos on a maximum scale. The odds are that the chat will be locked and replaced with a new one that has set rules and guidelines for it. I shall use you as an example. (Also, refrain from calling my logic flawed unless you can back it up with Evidence. You can blame Ace Attorney for this.) You post 'Hai Guys' in the GCT. Another 3 or so members say Hi to you. What comes after that? You guessed it A Buckton of randomness that serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever. The 'night time' GCT needs to be the '24-hour-a-day' GCT thread where things ARE serious 100% of the time. (For the record, I don't think the GCT needs to be removed, I just think it needs rules on what's allowed and what isn't.)

I AM WHO'S WAIFU?! ._. anyway, pretty much all my posts are done in the General Chat, I've met many great people just from replying to random people, and/or others doing the same to me. While I know at the moment its anything goes in there, I often try to make some sort of constructive insight to the thread, but usually its a completely different topic to what is being discussed presently. I wouldn't care less if it didn't count towards post count. Granted, pretty much all of mine are not really worthy of much attention to be payed to them, but and a lot of them WERE from forum games ( which, while I did stop around the time it didn't count towards post count, I didn't stop for that reason, I just stopped cause I was posting in them so often all day, and suddenly I just got bored, but most people probably won't see it that way). I don't treat people based on post count, I base them on what I've seen them do and act like previously, and go from there. If they're a new member, I look at them at a neutralized stance. EDIT: Sorry if this sounds a bit non-sensical. I'm half asleep, and many things are sprouting in my mind at once
To be honest, now I don't care whether or not the GCT counts towards posts. But it definitely shouldn't be closed. It is probably the most successful thread on this site and I guarantee that if it doesn't contribute to post counts, it will still be used. Even if the RT chats come along, the GCT will still be used by those who can't access the RT chats.

Why, Thank you! Also ICWQATUDIDTHR This is EXACTLY why we can't have nice things like GTC. Because people can't keep the same topic for more than a few posts. My logic here is that the GTC is basically a forum game of posting random useless stuff until we can't have a topic. Why add to post count for this game specifically? In the end, however, I fail to see how this is an issue. I mean, why do you care about post counts? Ego boosting? pants-in-the-family syndrome? inb4 love and tolerate.

Wait, is the GCT staying or not? Because I definitely don't want it to go. This forum wouldn't be the same without it. It also happens to be the only thread on this site that is filtered at my school. But that's irrelevant.

No, the point is to decide whether post count should stay or go for GCT, but apparently we've stemmed away from that into pointless arguing.
If I recall; the EP IRC is forming soon, and for those who can't use it, a NEW GCT will be created that will have set rules and guidelines for posting there. Meaning you can actually MODERATE IT. Looks like the idea to have community-driven polls was a bad idea. Looks like the mods can make all the decisions now.
I'm all up for trying out this new GCT but we've kind of built up our current one to what it is now. It will be sad to see that go.
