Honestly I am more for the General Chat thread to add to your post count, For many reasons posted here earlier. I admit I have posted a few times on there where it has just been random crap, but that doesn't mean that I go there just to do that, we have the radio chat for that. The GCT is often the place I go to when I want to expel my frustrations and the people there are always there to help. I often come home from school and I am extremely frustrated because of classmates, but the moment I chat to users like Yami, Pixel, Xaniith, Darkshine, Joshua, Cloudy Bounce, etc. I feel a lot better and happier. Even if the posts that were made by the users were randon or silly, the fact that they cheered me up means a lot to me. So technically those posts still count as meaningful posts. Even though they may not seem like it at first. If the posts no longer count then that will stop some people from going, making the general chat thread less pleasant. I will carry on going there even if the post count stops though because in the end it is just a number. It can motivate some people to post many meaningful statements, or it motivates people to simply make that number bigger and post silly stuff. You cannot stop people from doing that 100% so why ruin it for the people who go there for the right reasons?
The name of the thread says it all.... I voted "yes" I usually chat to friends and talk about how I feel and like to know about my friends. I don't write "nonsense" senteces as some people write above... My free time is short and the general chat is the only way I have to contact some of my fellows
Saikyo never goes in the GCT, so he's being as bad as the guy who made SOPA, who never goes on the internet.

actually, to be more accurate, it is a way of conversing with others that wouldn't fall into any other category. It doesn't mean to post whatever you want, but rather structured, yet chaotic conversing with fellow bronies.
