(Hi there everypony! I apologise for not being very active for a couple of weeks. My dog became very ill and after 11 years of life had to be put down because of a tumor, so I've been grieving for a while.)

Due to recent and past negative experiences, I decided to make a video of advice and encouragement to those who fall victim to bullies. I have heard stories of kind people on this site being tormented and having to endure traumatic experiences for just being who they are. I just want to extend an arm and help even just one single person through their hard times and make them realise that you SHOULD NOT have to change to suit anyone. :)

    I do it like this:

In all seriousness though, I was a big target of bullying when I was younger. I was never physically bullied, but the verbal was bad enough to scar me for a decade or two, and left me going home in tears from time to time when I was 12-13. I knew of no way to stop it, so I just played the waiting game. By the time I was 16-17, the instigators finally started to grow up and I even somewhat befriended most of them. then I went to college and everyone was awesome. Now, at 24, ponies and bronies like you and the other members of this forum have taught me to like myself. For the most part, I now no longer care what others think of my interests. Wearing my bronyism proudly has helped me to hold myself in general more proudly, and I can see a visible difference in the way people around me view me. Encouraged by this observation, I'm slowly opening up myself to others and just being me, regardless of whatever repercussion may come from potential haters.

As an aside, might I comment that I always love your style every time you post a video. It, and you, are quite beautiful.

The same thing pretty much happened to me. :) I used to be 14 stone when I was 14 years of age, and because of the alternative way I dressed I received a lot of verbal and physical abuse. I lost weight, my BMI went from obese to healthy, weighing 9 and a half stone and wearing (UK) size 10 clothes. And although size never has mattered to me, I felt much more confident in myself. The bullying still remains, but since college, I've had awesome friends to depend upon and a wonderful supportive family. I couldn't have it any better, but I am haunted by some of the scars. I've managed to become stable and I'm not afraid of the world anymore. :) I love dressing the way I do, corsets, leather, fishnets, chains, big boots and little hats~! ^-^ And if others don't like it, then that's their problem. I'm at peace with myself now, so it saddens me that others just refuse to accept what they think is 'different'. There's no point wasting my time worrying over people that are a lost cause. I just focus on the people that matter! Those that have taken care of me all of these years despite my old self being constantly paranoid and sometimes agressive towards people.

    Oh, thank you~! *blushes*

While the message that you're getting across about the importance of bullying is good, the site rules say that swearing isn't allowed, unintentional or not. I've kept the link in the original post though if people want to watch the video.

    'Hope you understand

I do hate to say it, but being bullied made me stronger. I thank my experience for only that.

I know it's not the case for most, as everyone has their own personal experience of bullying and their way of dealing with it and the way in which they were bullied. After being bullied in Junior School for being on the chubby side, I stepped up, and made my voice heard. After that, it stopped. The bullying was verbal, physical and back then I was incredibly shy and scared that everyone thought the same thing as the bully.

In contrast, I'm now the complete opposite, I stand up for myself, help others and I'm not as shy as I used to be. Being bullied made me realise that I shouldn't live life being pushed around because of my differences to the norm.

Bullying is a terrible thing, it leads to horrible outcomes and is a tough subject when solving and/or dealing with it, but that was my experience.

As for yours, I'm so sorry to hear that. All of what had happened was hard for me to imagine and made me want to do something about it. *hug*
In terms of advice, you raised good, helpful points (bar the slight use of certain words) and your video gives a message that I'm sure will help those struggling or help understand the struggles they once had with bullying. Great job.

Wow, I'm surprised by the amount of crap you had to go through. I don't see anything wrong about you. And your right about the whole normal issue. Just because you think your views are normal, doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't fit until your views aren't normal. I wish for a time when a person can say that they are gay without people making a big deal about it. Or a time when people can dress as they like and no one has any problems with it.

I know. I found a group of friends that are wonderfully accepting, and that means we can have our own little world of equality amungst us. :) Unfortunately, a majority of our surrounding peers react differently and can be outwardly shallow. :< I'm afraid this kind of attitude will always exist, but at least spreading awarness can strengthen others to be who they want to be :)

I refused to let anyone in to help me. That was where I went wrong some of the time. Many of the attacks could have been prevented or pursued legally, but I had no faith in authoritive institutions such as the police, child services or even my parents. But I never instigated any of the incidents, I was far too much of an enclosed, private person to do so.
Hee hee, I forget my manners sometimes, and because I wouldn't dream of using derogatory words in front of parents/family, when I'm all alone I forget to keep a pinch on my demotic side of my tongue. :3 I meant no offense, but I hope the message remains strong nevertheless. I'm sorry that you had to experience such cruelty, but at least we can derive the least bit of dignity from our experiences knowing that we are a better person for it. :)

Wow, I had no idea you were attacked and bullied like that... That's horrible to hear. But I'm equally as glad that you've grown from your experiences instead of turning for the worse as many do unfortunately. You're an inspiration to people bullied everywhere. I've already said it bunches of times before but I too was bullied all my life in and out of school, but never on such a scale as your experiences. But it has helped me to become stronger and to accept myself and to feel happy about who I am. I do still tend to sink back into my shell from time to time, and I still have issues with communicating with others. I'm hoping that as time passes I'll have that "don't give a sh-- about what people think" attitude you've have. You're a beautiful person, I hope that you never change, and from what I've seen in your posts and in this video I don't think you will, which is fantastic. More people need to see this video.

I go to an all boys school where half of them have anger issues... I am one of the anger admitidly. I am in anger management at the moment but the anger is why I get bullied. My cousin dies of poison, what happens? They take the mick. My hampster dies? They laugh saying I got upset over a small thing! Sometimes I just wish for a small corner as I have low self esteem and seem to be the target of Bullying... Even one of the older ones does it. He ran up to me and threw a rugby ball full pelt into the back of my spine. I'm on back Physio anyway so it hurt a lot. The teachers and staff there know I am a good student and try thier best to help but...
