    I guess for the most part its good to have "celebs" being bronies. Sorta getting the word around, might make more people interested in it etc.
    I still hate Notch and Minecraft though, a disgrace to the programming world, especially on the decision to write it in Java! Eugh! Silly, silly people >_>

    What's wrong with Java? Easy to pick up and multi-platform. Granted, C is better to learn but I don't see much wrong with Java.

    This is genuine curiosity rather than a stark defence of Java, by the way. Even so, I'm not accepting an answer along the lines of "It was made by a man that doesn't have a decent beard".

    Speed issues mainly, me and a mate did nearly the same thing a seed generating world with differing textures per square etc. in C++. worked so much faster.

    I just have more of a personal hatred towards the language. Kinda irrational, but I just hate it :smile:

    I have a beard at 13 if we think beards make the Brony. In fact... i think most male Bronies do have a little bit of a beard...

    Fair enoughski! I should probably swap to C# at some point. Might be slightly better long term wise. I'm only using Java currently because that's what I'm being taught in Uni.

    I got taught c# in first year.A+ for me, then second year is Java + Assembly, with C/C++ around there somewhere.

    Haha, that exactly describes me. I remember always wishing I could grow a beard since my friends were all beating me at it. Now, I can't bear to grow a beard out for too long, otherwise it annoys the crap out of me.
