Silver watched the Cadets get on the carriage gloomily. He could have been one of them, but no, his parents wanted to send him off to some random academy on the other side of Equestria. Probably because "it's more refined" or "one of our friends sent their colt there, and look what a nice young stallion he is now". He snorted, which his parents would have reprimanded him for. Why couldn't he go to the Canterlot Magic Academy? It was, in his opinion, superior in almost every respect. The only upside to leaving for Las Pegasus School for Young Foals was that his parents would be far, far away. He shifted in his spot as a foal shoved past him to get a better look at the Cadets, taking his view. It didn't matter anyways; watching was only going to make him hate his parents more, and he still had to put up with them for three more months before he left. He turned around and was about to leave, when he thought he recognized the foal that had shunted him to the side. He took a second look. No, it wasn't Bolly Posh, but he looked a little like him. "Hey," said Silver, tapping the colt on the shoulder. "Are you related to the Posh family? You look a little like one of them that I know." Now, this wasn't to say Silver was good friends with Bolly. He actually tried to avoid him, as he was not the nicest colt you could choose to hang around. But for some reason, he felt like he needed to find out whether this pony was related. After all, families aren't all the same. Perhaps this foal would be a little more...refined...than Bolly. Ugh, that word reminded him of his parents. He would have to find a different word to describe polite, respectable ponies...
Firebreeze sat on his stool next to Rex at the lemonade stand. Business was slow, and Fire was ok with that. It gave him time to dream, "Hey Cashie," Fire began, "I think I wanna join the Extreme Weather Team like my dad." Rex looked at him with a sarcastic look, "And I'm gonna be treasurer of ponyville one day..." Rex chuckled. "Well, why not?" Fire said, "You can do anything if you try hard enough!" "Stealing wise words from your dad again?" Rex replied. "My pa's smart, Cashie, just take my word for it."
Jhera glanced around in terror. A few other young ponies had appeared near the street, looking equally confused. "Hey, flower boy!" Jhera heard Talon call. He looked up and, sure enough, he saw Talon glaring down at him, his new helicopter flying by his side. "Every stallion and mare in town has disappeared. I think it's somehow connected to unicorns. I watched my dad obtain a yellow aura and vanish. I'm heading to Canterlot to see what's happened, and YOU'RE coming with me." The accusation frightened Jhera. If it meant finding answers, it looked like they were headed to Canterlot. (I just realized I've created a Yoshi + Baby Mario scenario with Jhera)
(I know i'm late, but can i join this Rp, Snow? (I'm asking you since you started the thread)) Gender/species: Male Alicorn Familly: no know familly, but a friend considered as a sister Location: Canterlot
(Thanks, Jhera. I'm really just making it up on the spot. ) Quill was so enamored by the carriage, that he almost didn't notice a tapping on his shoulder. "Hey, are you related to the Posh family? You look a little like one of them that I know." "Uh, well..." he replied, turning toward the one who addressed him. As her turned, he also spied a filly who seemed to be watching him. "I, uh, am related to them. Bolly Posh and Pish Posh are my cousins." The young unicorn gulped and hoped that this pony didn't have anything against either of his cousins. Bolly, especially, wasn't known for being...nice. Taking a breath, he pushed his glasses up and introduced himself, like any respectable pony should. "I am Quilliam Bartholomew Inkwell the Third." He bowed slightly. "How do you know the Posh family?"
(Everything in my previous post was past, now I begin for the present) "TALON!" Jhera yelled as he attemted to keep up with the pegasus. "Seriously, why the big rush, how far are we from the town?" He looked down, his eyes filled with glamour. "That's just it!" he called back. "Canterlot is just up ahead, I can see it!" Filled with sudden vigour, Jhera ran harder than ever. Fernleaf stuck her head out of his bag and squeaked. Canterlot was a sight to behold. The buildings rose so much higher than they did in Fillydelphia. Everything was blue and white, and the guards even looked extremely well kept. The first thing they ran into was a caravan and some babbling pegasi. Some colts and fillies were climbing into the caravan, while others simply watched, an odd sort of amazement on their faces. "What do you think this is all about?" Jhera asked. "Dunno..." Talon replied. "Let's ask somepony!" He walked up to the nearest pony and gave him a shove. "OI!" he said. "What's going on here?" The pegasus glared at him and looked back forward. Annoyed Talon returned to Jhera. "These aren't the nicest of ponies..." he said. Jhera looked back at him. "I think we had best just watch for now."
The journey was long and gruelling. To occupy himself Dark Shine looked out the cariage to see Ponies watching them leave to the Palace. After a long journey they arrived. There was a pony standing there, his eyes fixed upon the students. He went through the name list, eventually reaching Dark Shine.
(well, guess it won't disturb anyone to start anyways... ) Saul wake up in total confusion. "Where am I?" He glanced at the trees. "What are theses?" From where he came, only light and darkness existed. Only life and death. "Guess i'll have to get to know this... Place... " He straighten one of his front-right leg, then his front-left leg, slowly. "In wich direction should i go?" Then he noticed a white spot, behind one of the trees surrounding him. "Hey?" The white form hopped in surprise, then turned to face him. Another pony. "Who are you? Where are we?" The white pony closed her eyes, and a small breeze waved her mane gently. She was noyt as tall as Saul, but she was taller than some ponies. Her mane, pale silver, was same way as Saul's; except it was a little more short, and only one-colored. "Ehh, yeah. Don't be afraid, i won't bite. Please, tell me where we are. The only thging i remember is a library in Canterlot, my name, and... Well, that's all i know." She smiled gently, and softly opened her eyes again: they were colored with the purest blue, and the brighest white Saul ever looked at. "Can you talk?" She looked to the ground. A tear rolled of her cheek. "Sorry, i don't want you to be sad. Name's Saul Laski. Would you like to travel with me to the next city, at least, so we can find somepony telling us... What we need to know..."
"Ah, that explains it. I knew Bolly had a sister, but I didn't think he had a brother. So...you are his cousin?" asked Silver. This unicorn seemed respectable enough. "Oh, my apologies. Allow me to introduce myself; I am Silver Shield." He half-bowed, then stopped and stood again with a disgusted look on his face. His parents had taught him well. He noticed Quilliam looking at him with a bit of an alarmed stare. "Er...sorry about that. I'm trying to break that habit. It tends to give off the aura of 'rich snob'..." he said. Then he remembered that he had been asked a question. "Oh, I don't really know them that well. Just Bolly, and he's...er...not that enjoyable to be around." Shield recalled the time when Bolly Posh had tried to take the money his parents had given him as a birthday gift while he was on his way to the market; the only reason he'd been able to fend Bolly off was because Silver knew magic at the time, and Bolly didn't. Probably not the best thing to mention to his cousin, though... "So, those Cadets...they're something, huh?" he said, disappointment evident in his voice.
Snow suddenly remembered thae foal's name after a while of pondering, but to be sure she decided to talk to him to be sure. She walked up to Quilliam, she thinks, maybe it was Bosh she was thinking off. Snow walked over but noticed he was already talking to some other pony, so she just stood there waiting for an apprioate time to talk.
Silver noticed a filly standing nearby, looking like she wanted to join the conversation, or something of the sort. He didn't recognize her, but maybe she was a friend of Quilliam's. He motioned for her to join them. "Ah, hello. I'm Silver Shield. What's your name?"
"Uh, Snow, Snow Mark." she said shyly, she wasn't expecting pony to talk to her, she was hoping she would be able to find her own way in. She quietly hoped that they wouldn't pick up on her slight country accent, which tended to be looked down upon in Canterlot, unless you were rich.
"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Snow. Do you know Quilliam?" asked Silver. He had noticed that she had been looking at the other unicorn as though she knew him. While he spoke, he studied the filly's face. She seemed to be looking at him almost...apprehensively, as if she expected him to hate her, or something of the sort. That's odd, he thought. I didn't know I was that intimidating...
"Just Bolly, and he's...er...not that enjoyable to be around." Quill chuckled at Silver Shield's tactful reply. "He, uh...certainly isn't..." The young unicorn cast his glance downward as he recalled why he had been wandering around town in the first place. It's not just a stupid feather... He snapped back to attention at the mention of the Cadets. "Ah, yes. The Cadets," Quill answered. "I'll bet nopony mes-" He was interruptyed by the approach of the filly who had been watching him earlier. When asked by Shield, she politely introduced herself as Snow Mark. Quill picked out the hint of an accent almost immediately (he had a knack for such things), but thought it best to not say anything. Not, actually thought per se, but knew. A Southern drawl was quite looked down upon in Canterlotian high society. He knew that much from what his Aunt had told him: "Such a dreadful way to present oneself. It makes them sound so...uneducated. You see, little ponies, one must always present themselves in a manner befitting them and how they wish to be seen. Listen as I enunciate every word, slowly and calmly. I wish to be seen as a lady, you see? I cannot be shouting or mumbling. Please keep your head straight Bolly..." Quill also knew from experience that it didn't really matter how one spoke; it was their actions that mattered. What did his father tell him? Nightmare Moon was royalty, but it made her no less a monster.
The royal guardsponies handed out the kit to each individual 'cadet' until they reach Dark Shine. A small, skinny, grey pegasi completely different from the others. He was half the size of the trainee's gear. "Excuse me... Dark Shine, is it? But are you sure, that the royal guard cadets is the best place for you?" Dark Shine tried to take it in. He wanted to argue but that would prove the guards point. Instead he just nodded. "I see. So your determined that this is the place for you?" Dark Shine kept a straight face. "Good. Now then. I want all of you to get into your uniform. Once you are done head outside into the gardens for further instructions!"
Snow smiled at the ponies in front of her, she was glad they didn't react too bad when she spoke, "So, do you guys have your cutie marks, or do you not, like me?" She asked.
Jhera heard a nearby filly mention "cutie mark" and his ears perked up. "Hey Talon, since we're here, how about we meet some of the ponies? I have no idea how long this mystery will take to solve." Talon shrugged. "I'm up for searching for answers. If you wish to get contacts, fine by me. I'm going into Canterlot to see what I can find, you do what you want. Try not to get hurt." He flung himself upward out of the crowd like a total showoff. Everyone glared at him, then looked at where he had come from, which was where Jhera now stood. Blushing, he crept behind one of the nearby chatterers in an attempt to divert their eyes. When he looked at who he had gone behind, he jumped back. "Oh!...Sorry, I...uhh..." he gave up trying to speak and just tried to make himself as small as possible. 'I should have just let Talon do all this on his own, there's no way I can handle Canterlot. I'm not even in it yet, and there's already a scene!' he thought. By now, all the ponies except the group he had hidden behind were refocused on the caravan. He waited silently for one of the foals to begin speaking again.
Snow noticed another foal hiding behind their little group, "Hey you, why don't you join us! I was just about to suggest that we group up to find out what our special talent is! I bet it would be faster and more fun if we did it togather!" Snow said excitedly, "Hey, what's your name anyhow."
