Funny, I post on the forums regularly without using an app, I just use the default browser. Can't go on EPR though, that kind of sucks. Or quote users, or edit posts. But hey, as stated, it's Everypony on the go. Can't argue with that.
You can edit/quote on tapatalk and there are ways to access the stream on certain smart phones - they're just not stansard. Anyway this isn't really the place to discuss such things
Hey just thought I'd send in a DJ application since I'm always on with you guy's on skype and on the stream with Pinkie Pie. I have no problem enforcing the rules nor helping people with questions they have. I have quite a large amount of free time on my hands if you haven't noticed, and I am quite the ponies pony(people person.) Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration. P.S. DJDashie/DJRainbowDash would make the stream 20% cooler P.P.S DJPinkiePie needs to happen! /)^3^(\ Pinkie Pie is on stream like ALL THE TIME and would make an awesome DJ. Edit: guess I should say that I currently wake up around 1pm and am on the computer till possible 2 or 4am Pacific Time. If I do become a DJ though, I will get up maybe around 9-10am. I start college end of September, but i'll still be on the computer basically whenever I do not have class.
Dash, it helps A LOT if you're active on the forum, you only have one post at the moment - Just a heads up/It helps, it's not ESSENTIAL.
He's been stealing some MIDIs, apparently. I need some extreme evidence if I'm to believe this, though.
Technically, there is a bit of truth to this, but this isn't the place to talk about that. It also has nothing to do with my resignation.
I wish I could be a DJ, but I'm only online Wednesdays and Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Aww... I WANNA BE A DJ! I could have been an great DJ... Oh well, the world can be cruel when your schedule is bad...
Radio Name: cometgoat I am a bit confused at the conflict between Jaret saying there is a lack of DJs, while there are currently no open places for any more. Anyway, this is my application. Please contact me if you need any more information about me. Thanks for reading in advance! I have access to my computer every evening of the year, which is 17:00 GMT - 23:00 GMT. I am also free all day on Saturdays and Sundays 09:00 GMT 23:00. When I say I am free ALL day, I mean that unless something is planned, I have no recurring appointments during those times. Obviously, being the summer holidays, I am currently free every day, all day, for the next three weeks. Now, a little bit of information about myself. I'm not one of these people who claim that music "is their life". I know there is more to me, and there is. I am still a student, so education is still part of who I am. I can't spend every moment of my life on EveryPony, neither do I want to. But the time I do spend on here is time well spent, and there is no other site I want to help develop more. And I think the way I can help develop this site is by applying to be a DJ. I finished GCSEs with (some would think) a pretty good set of seven As, and I thought that would carry over into my A Level grades. I began studying Physics, Biology and Music Technology in September 2010, a strange combination I know, but they were all areas that appealed to me. Throughout the last year, I realised that I wasn't the right person to be a scientist. The process of physically learning what someone tells you, then regurgitating it in an exam didn't work well with me. That's not what science is about. Science is about discovery, and the pursuit of knowledge and application of power in your chosen area. That's not what science A Levels are like. With all my spare time in-between lessons, I found myself using more and more of it in the Music Technology studio, developing my skills further. I noticed that I was distancing myself from the work that I had been set, and that I was researching areas of techniques and styles that appealed to me, and ones which I found characteristically interesting. I began to think about the drop in grades I saw at school, going from full marks in my GCSE Physics exam to a U (unclassified) in my first A Level module. Clearly A Levels weren't the right path for me, so I looked at alternatives. I saw that Bridgend College offered an Advanced BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Music Technology, and that course is so much more developed than the A Level. Being a full time course, it takes the place of three A Levels. The course is assessed completely by coursework, which means everything you work at over the two years is looked at, not what you can remember during an hour long exam. The course is taught by people who work in the Music industry, and some own their own recording studios. Several phone calls and application forms later, with an interview and open day behind me, I sit here at my computer, applying for this job. And yes, I say "job" because the position requires professional commitment and service, which you won't get from someone who's just looking to fill a few hours of spare time. I want this job because I want to build my experience in Music Technology, and the ability to actively provide the experience people want in a music station is something that will most definitely do that. The skills I would learn in having this job would help me communicate with the musicians I one day hope to work with as a music producer. Because at the end of the day, that's what I'm aiming for, with everything that I do. I hope that I've accurately conveyed what I wanted to say in my application, because I would really love to be a part of the team that makes EveryPony what it is. And I would be so proud, when writing my CV in a couple of years time, to be able to put down "committed DJ to an on-line music station: EveryPony Radio".
so yeah... I'd like to apply to be a DJ since I am on the chat pretty much daily and I have moderated some random MMO/friendsfora before... also I like making people happy with music
I think I should probably fill one of these out, I've sent one in the past but I think an update every now and again is a good thing, right? DJ-Application: Zephyr Well I guess I should probably just dive in right? Hmm, well I've been here since about late May, back when the Autobrony was easy to memorize (Good times, Good times.) I'm usually here most of the time, if I had to say I'm here (Based on -0) About 5PM-3AM everyday. (12-10PM Eastern) Usually I lurk in the Radio chat but I'm almost always in it, you can ask around if need be. I'm an avid RP'er here on the site, you can pretty much always find me in the RP chat, though recently I've been lurking more and more as the RP chat has seemed to of gotten rather popular all of a sudden (Separate rooms would be nice) Though I'm not nearly as good as Virgil, I draw and vector people's OC's. Yes, I realize this has nothing to do with the DJ Application, but it's my way of showing how active I am in the community. You can almost ALWAYS find me on skype, though I go away for periods of time I'd say that's rather normal. In regards to time my time zone is Eastern(-5), I just compare it to -0 a lot because most of the people I talk to live in or around that time zone so it's easier for everyone. For free time, well the radio is probably going to change a lot now that the summer is about to finish and a lot of people are going to heading off to school so the activity in the stream will be a bit stretch out in terms of Moderators, and seeing as how there are more DJ's in Europe as there is in America it would benefit the site in the future to add someone from the US or a similar timezone as a DJ. As for school concerns I have a basic school schedule, (Again comparing to -0) I go to school from 11AM-8PM (6-3PM Eastern). For the first few months of school I'll be getting home at about (More -0) 9 or 10PM (4 or 5 Eastern) because of Cross Country practice and some logistics that I'm in charge of for JROTC. (The JROTC one won't take up too much of my time, only about 30 minutes or so to be honest.) Also because of Cross Country I'm not exactly looking for a job yet because I don't really want to have to go right to work after completely exhausting myself entirely so there's no worries about that. That's pretty much all I can say really, I'd vouch for my personality/maturity but I feel I'd either be too strict and only hurt myself or too lenient and make myself out better than I really am, so I'll leave that one up to you guys seeing as how a good majority of you all know me. Hope I make it! -Crosses hooves- -Zephyr
I'm assuming there are no positions for forum moderators? (Since this thread is about "Radio" and not "Forums") Oh well, have fun with those applications!
As of now, I read through most of the applications and I think (since the DJs get involved in the process of chooisng new ones) I found the 1 or 2 that I would personally prefer as DJs. Let's see when we actually start recruiting again.
This sounds neat! I do have lots of free time, and I'm good with public relations (aka answering questions). Maybe next time you need a DJ, you can look me up.
Since it seems like it would be rude to apply twice, I'm just mentioning that I've appended my previous application with a bit more information. You can find it on page 6. It should be the 7th post down.
