Salutations. I noticed a distinct lack of Sports dedicated threads and decided this needed to be changed.
Feel free to tell us your favorite teams, any sports you participate or just which sports interest you!
Personally I am a big hockey fan, attend regular games and cheer like an idiot (Go Lightning!) as well as fond of archery and sharpshooting.
Friendly competition between teams is encouraged so long as you can be civil, everypony.

I'm not really a fan of sports, but since you included archery in the etc. option, I imagine that extends to martial arts, kendo, and stuff like that, which I do enjoy, even if I don't follow them.

Yes, martial arts are definitely a sport! do you have experience training in them or is it simply an interest?

I'm interested in endurance running and follow marathons when given the chance.
Pretty excited to see how the Olympics play out.

An interest only. I love watching various weapon demonstrations and observing how the human body can fight. I don't know any myself, but if I were to learn, I'd want to learn aikido and quarterstaff/spear fighting.

endurance running is a sport I see as respectable, such constition needed is remarkable.
My brother was far more into martial arts than I was, his training included anatomical, and muscular action. have you considered finding an instructor near you?

I would suggest it if you can, yami. Martial arts have many physical and mental health benifits; as well as being a wonderful hobby.

well, personally, I'm in snowboarding, and I like to watch it as well.
I also like other extreme sports. also like to play football (soccer), and basketball.
as for sports that I watch, lately I've started to watch NHL, and it's petty interesting to watch.

Ahh, NHL is something you can look forward to for a great night of adrenaline, clenched knuckles and loud cheering, at least in my house.

Other sports that are often loved would be racing, fencing, swimming and even unusual ones sch as parkour. Anyone who can talk about those?

I quite like football, just don't have time to watch it, but I like watching highlights of the goals of such talented players.

I would think that the game hunting is the sport and the tree shooting is just your practice...right?
