Well, it's normally Grey's job to start the thread, but nevermind now. Of course, we all are excited about it, It is the GGG, so high expectations from me.
Worse than I expected. Not the worst episode I saw, but poor. Somewhat obvious, didn't expect Fluttershy's insanity peak. What is it with the directors making characters insane lately?

Imo not the best song, it's not horrible it just lacks the sort of "stuck in your head" factor of the other songs, also odd it's not mainly acoustic guitar like most other songs Definitely fits the scene though (the RD part is pretty catchy though - though the Diamonds line seems like they ran out of things to rhyme imo)
The song was decent, it wasn't what I expected, but it was faithful to the series. As you said, I don't see myself remembering this, due to lack of rhythm throughout parts.
Well the main problem I had over the course of the song was that it had this "Disney" ring to it the whole, and I'm not a huge fan of that sort of soundtrack
The episode itself was rather predictable from the given description to the end, especially Rarity's part. Too easy to guess that Prince Blueblood would be either a nerd or such a jerk. Actually, this episode didn't concern much of their personalities: they merely tried to force their interests the whole time - safe for Twilight who tried to enjoy that (awfully boring) time receiving guests, and thus still with her mind sane. This went too much out of their characters, especially Fluttershy. I must say, I couldn't help but hate that song... xDDDDDD It sounded a LOT like a musical play from Broadway, and I am definitely not a fan of those. Maybe I am complainning too much, but I know everypony expected a lot more from this episode. But this is probably what Faust and the producer team were going for: too high expectations can deceive you over things. This is me, however.
Well it wasn't horrible, it's definitely not the worst, as you said I just think some people have too high expectations Is it me or did it also seem like they rushed the end too?
Man I was so pumped for this episode! My shift at work today was moving at a snails pace almost. I culdn't wait to get home and watch it! And I got to say, it didn't disappoint! Personally, that song was even better than I expected! It was so awesome! It seems that Aplejack kind of loses her accent when she sings, dosne't she? Insane Fluttershy is insane. I thought for a minute she was going to go full-blown Ep. 25 Pinkie Pie but, to me, just not quite. As they say, "Close, but no cigar!" Speaking of Pinkie Pie, she was in top form this episode! I'm so glad she's my new top favorite! And FYI, Fluttershy is now number 2! I feel really sorry for Rarity that her prince charming wasn't what she dreamed of. I feel sorry for all the mane six that their night wasn't what they expected. But, in the end, it ending up a disaster is what apparently made it "The Best Night Ever!" To me, this was truly, and I'll say it again, THE BEST NIGHT EVER!!!!!! I'm going toreally miss these ponies, I really am! I'll never forget them over the next few months!
Yes. The end did seem a little rushed. The weirdest thing for me was the overt Disney vibe they gave it. I mean come on, Twilight goes fairy godmother on the mice and apple and the whole glass slipper bit? LAME. But over all it was a bit bland. Well I never... (I have yet to use that yet, so I said f*** it :derpe I actually liked this episode. The songs... Not so much. Although I will say, there was a line that was in my head for a little bit. I liked pretty much everything that super didn't like. lol The Cinderella thing with the horse draw carriage was just making fun of it. There were horses yet she made some out of mice for no reason. lol The glass slipper bit was pretty funny as well. lol. She smashes it so he can't find her. THAT was funny imo Now... Him being all snooty and what-not was pretty funny. Mainly because of WHAT he did. Like not paying, shielding him with her, and the other stuff. NOW... My favorite thing about this episode was Psycho/Crazy Shy. Yeah it was REALLY out of character, but I didn't mind it. It was funny. Pinky Pie going crazy was REALLY out of character, but I don't see anyone complaining about that. This episode is my second favorite, right next to "Party for One".
It wasn't really that bad... but for the last ep i was expecting a little more. It would have been better as a mid season episode.
Eh, judging from the comments it is okay, but not too great. I haven't watched it yet, will do so maybe tomorrow. Anyway, Insane Fluttershy you say? ...This could make her my #1 again.
I watched it live on streaming but the quality was really awful. Luckily i'm already downloading the 720p version, should be also without ads and the annoing hub logo, so i'll be able to watch it again soon.
It wasn't a bad episode, it just wasn't the best imo I think the Disney vibe was intentional really, as farce or to appeal to the actual intended audience, but a lot of things were quite obviously making fun of Disney movies. The main song fits, it just wasn't nearly as catchy as the other songs from the show for obvious reasons in style (it lacks a strong beat or that sort of thing to get it stuck in your head, the style of the piece is meant to incite expectation and excitement by creating a sort of "large" feel to it). @The Pony Pokey ........ :| no comment, I don't hate Pinkie's songs but this one was....... a little..... yeaaaah Insane FS was great though, seeing the character go through mental breakdowns that completely counters their normal behavior or takes it to extreme levels is just hilarious.
It blew away my expectations - in a positive way. It really turned out great - The jokes, the characters, everything. It was like all has been reversed. Certainly, everypony will agree that Fluttershy was the best one in this episode. And I have to say, she got crazier than Pinkie Pie. Pinkie's crazy in a matter where she makes up Friends, but Fluttershy is crazy in a matter where she actually forces everyone to be her friend. Fluttershy kind of fits this personality perfect. It certainly is all about style - I love the humor - the ironic humor. The Disney refferences weren't that big - only 2 times as i recall. I loved that Glass-shoe refference - Perfect.
Most probably this. Or they didn't have a good idea to make the first season come to an end. But as you said in another topic, they weren't expecting this show to be THIS popular. And no, this wasn't the wrost episode ever. Not really sure which one was, but I am not a fan of the talent show starring the CMC. Kinda plain. Spoiler: Topic, topic! o.o7 Must say, it was a shame to see Spike despised. It's one of the few times he's got the right answer. And... No more doughnuts for baby dragon. EDIT: I know people are happy to see some difference in Fluttershy's behavior in forcing the animals to be her friends. However, after Pinkie Pie got insane in the lastest episode before this one, it turned out a little repetitive to make anypony a wild kid. Come to think, at least they ruined the GGG, and we could see that Celestia was planning to troll the entire event all the time. This, along with Rarity getting angry, was an epic win. I think I forgot to mention that because I was shocked that I could actually predict pretty much the episode itself. No, I don't have any powers, I just got pretty much no surprises or expectations at all.
