So I was going to post Sufferer's sermon, but there was a thread. Don't you love when people check if threads already exist? (Except I didn;t have to check)
I stand by what I said about the GCT, personally. This thread is my beloved home away from home, and I take the good with the bad. When things turn stupid, I just leave for a bit.
This is what I was talking about with slacktivism. Dealing with the problem is better than ignoring it, no?
Deal with what? Someone being stupid? All that will do is start an argument, as was demonstrated for the past few hours. You can't fix stupid.
I've been ignoring it for a couple minutes. So far so good. This might be the best plan ever. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Education. It is a concept that exists. Getting rid of post count, admitedly, does not cure stupid. It cures attention*squee!*ging. This may or may not be a case of such. I simply do not know.
No amount of education can fix stupidity. You're confusing "stupidity" with "ignorance." And getting rid of post count does a disservice to those of us who don't participate in such shenanigans. But I'm not starting this circular debate again.
I might agree with MOST of saikyo's argument, but I say keep the post count. I don't even care about that. Only reason mine is so high is because I never leave the site. XAN! *hugZ* -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
