So as many of you may have noticed, the radio has begun to dwindle. In recent months it's dropped from an average of 30 users at a time to a mere 15. A while ago among the DJs, we discussed the topic of Live fanfic readings and unfortunately decided against it because we felt that it would be found as boring to those who didn't wish to listen to such a thing. However, in recent discussion with the stream itself regarding this old topic, I've discovered that a majority of the users may indeed enjoy listening to live fanfic readings. So to get the full answer on the matter, I'll ask you the community, would you enjoy listening to live fanfic readings? If not, could you explain why, and if possible help brainstorm solutions for providing means of entertainment those those who wouldn't enjoy such a thing in the event that this is accepted by the majority.

Hmm, inviting some of the people from the forum to help with the readings would be something fun to do. Now I wonder who'd be interested in something like that ;D

Yeah. This is an old old old idea. XP I remember when it was first brought up a while back. ~taps chin~ Anywho. This is a great idea though one of the issues back then was actually that it could potentially bore the viewers. It depends on how you go about it and most importantly, the VAs. You GOTTA have good VAs. Not to mention they have to be able to "act" out the dialog so it doesn't become some dull dry reading. But all in all, it's a great way to get more viewers, not just from the site, but new viewers to the radio and site as a whole.
and with only 15 viewers it wouldn't harm to have a trial order for something like this, if its good enough keep it around if not try something else
Hmm, we might be able to put together an acting team of sorts for this kind of thing so that it could stay interesting.
I would definately like to hear some FiM:Fics on the radio! Especially if you were to read...Cupcakes.... MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH*cough* actually don't, please
I'd volunteer to host the procaster part of the readings if need be, as long as they're kept in times when I can actually be there like weekends and early evenings. Let me just give y'all a piece of my mind: Maybe a sub-forum in the EP Labels section where ponies can vote which fics will be read. In compliance with the EPN rules, clop-/gorefics and the likes are a no-go. Possible length limit? (I know a lot of good fics we could read but some of them are 15+ chapters so we'd have to split them into multiple sessions. Maybe 2-3 chapters per session?) Naturally the readings get uploaded to the EveryponyVideos YouTube channel as well as EPR's "Video On-Demand" section.* ** (*Only the latest one respectively all the parts of the latest fic for storage limitation reasons. ** Requires further discussion)
sounds perfect, if were going from fics not from this site we could try doing "on a cross and arrow" but that would need 6 male and female voice's
