I agree with this. The players in the RP should decide on what is acceptable, or the player who created the RP, which is pretty much the method used right now. I recently read the definition of Mary Sue (Lol because I'm a noob and didn't know what it meant until about three days ago), and what Oatmeal said about all the Alicorns having similar backgrounds totally fits the bill for that definition, so. You can take that however you want to.
As far as roleplaying rules, you'll never be above site rules while on this server though. I.e. No language, NSFW/Inappropriate content/behaviour. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Which I believe is about as far as the site needs to get involved with the RP of others. Staff can get involved without taking away from the RPs that other people want. After all, it's called everypony, so why leave some kinds out of RP? My game, for example, doesn't have them as an option because they'd be imbalanced for that particular scenario. Admittably, my game does have rules for if someone were to choose Alacornus. Actually, I have rules for Breezies and Seahorses as well, but... that's because my game is about versatility, and the ability to fill the void in any situation. Anyway, I side-tracked. Where was I? Say me and somepony else wanted to play a scenario where one or both of us are Alacornus on the run from forces of Discord in one of many hypathetical "1000 years ago" campaign. I would always want that sort of option open, and wouldn't expect any reprecussion. However, I expect the site to get involved if someone starts up a cloppy RP and gets into... detail.
Oh yeah, no problem. No I can't see why anyone would care about the specific rules or nature of a roleplay as long it's not distasteful. By all means if you want to roleplay as flowers growing in a garden, keep it clean and you can be my guest Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
That's it! I'm starting an RP where everyone plays as flowers in a garden. Pollenate away! :derpe: Ok, that was out of line. I'm sorry...
