Greetings from Matty Jei!

Hello, all; call me Matty Jei! I am a young woman who recently became interested in "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." Let me tell you just a little about myself so you can get an idea of who I am:

Let's start with my introduction to the show. I've heard a great deal of hype about the show all over the internet in the past months, so after a while, I simply decided that I needed to see the show for myself; the hype had piqued my curiosity. I discovered that I really loved the show. Because of my love of the show, I went ahead and purchased two little dollies and a Pinkie Pie plushie (you can see the two dollies in my avatar). I guess I should say that my favorite character is Fluttershy, because she reminds me of myself in several ways. While I'm not as shy as she is, I see her maternal, caring side along with her love of others in myself. The reason I have my Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash dollies together in my avatar picture is because my boyfriend says he sees himself in Rainbow Dash. He's dependable and very loyal.

Now, myself in general. I enjoy "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" (of course I do; if I didn't, why would I be here?). Aside from that, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and friends, researching academic subjects and just generally surfing on the internet, writing, shopping, and just chatting with people. I attend a videogame club once a week, but I'm a very casual gamer at best. I do happen to work for a videogame website, but it's mostly moderation, mediation and writing that I do there.

I'm currently going to college for a practical nursing diploma. I was originally going to college for something computer-related, but I became disillusioned with this. I decided that I needed to go into human service work, where I felt I would be able to contribute to the better good of humanity as a whole; I wanted to do something for people, not for profit and money (this also explains my Cutie Mark, which is a stethoscope). I have a year left of my main classes, and then I take my boards and become a licensed practical nurse (LPN)!

Last but certainly not least, my boyfriend. I'm currently in a relationship with the most amazing man in the world. He makes me feel so much better even when I'm at my very worst, and we continue to grow closer as time goes on. We have been together for nearly three and two-thirds years now! We face our lives together, and show each other unconditional love. We're very happy together; I love being with him, and I love taking care of him.

I guess that's it for now. Thank you to everyone who took the time to look at this; I hope that I can make some new friends here. I've been sort of a drifter on the internet lately, not settling into any community for any fandom long-term. While I'm not a hardcore fan of this show like some are, a friend of mine suggested this place to me as a nice, loving, tolerant community, and I hope to find happiness and an online home here.

Also, the friend is a member here as well. He told me about this place when I expressed my feelings of unhappiness about a different place that had nothing to do with "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."

Aww, thank you Dwynter. ^//^ Also, yeah: dual nature seems to be a part of all ponies. I would argue that there are sometimes more than just two in all of us as well; each part of us is just as real, and depending on the situation, that part of our nature shows.
