    I think we'd need to see her parents to get an idea of how she got her color....or it could've just been magic, that usually is a proper reason for everything.

    Maybe her parents ate a lot of skittles? Seriously, trying to figure out pony genetics will just give you a migraine! Pegasus having Unicorn babies? *shakes head*

    As for why I like Rainbow Dash . . . Well, I've thought about it from time to time, and I think it's not just her looks or voice (although those are great), but her need for speed. I have to admit, I'm a closet adrenaline junkie. I'm always trying to run a little faster, drive a little faster (Kids - don't do this at home!), and I take a crowded mall as a challenge to get through as fast as I can without touching people. But, for all her bragging, she's really insecure. Which is also me. So next time you hear me bragging - remember, it's only because I'm afraid no one really likes me.

    Plus, right down to the voice, she kind of reminds me of a girl I knew in High School.

    Well, and she's 20% cooler than the other ponies.

    According to Wikipedia Ashleigh Ball voiced Rainbow dash and Elizabeth Daily voiced Buttercup. Tara Strong voiced Twilight Sparkle as well as Bubbles though.

    Rainbow dash is a girl who's brave, ready for anything, and boisterous. It's so rare for that kind of character to be done right that when we actually do see that kind of character done right, we're not used to it, so our brain goes "Whoa!"; like Native Americans and alcohol or Europeans and tobacco.
