In no particular order: > Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?: actually a pretty obscure series from the early 2000s. Was on Cartoon Network though! > Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Nostalgia! NOSTALGIAAAAA! > Dexter's Laboratory: Eh-heh-heh. My favourite show when I was little! I've got to see if I can find the episodes again. > The Flintstones: Why not!?
Rocko's Modern Life, Cat Dog, Ren & Stimpy, Angry Beavers, Johnny Bravo, Animaniacs and Chicken & Cow. So if I love My Little Pony FiM, does that mean that if I were to go back and watch those shows from my childhood, I would enjoy them! Uh Oh! no no no no! I don't have time to get addicted to any more cartoons! To much stuff to do, too little time! Dammit being an adult sucks!
Do you mean the one with Robotropolics? Swat Bots etc? In the UK we have a much more silly one. The Sat AM one was AMAZING! I just wished they had done a season 2
Arh I didn't like that version. I like funny cartoons but for me that wasn't sonic. Sat AM I found to be way better. Even Sonic Underground made me cringe
I used to watch all the cartoons as a kid, but a few were, for me at least, cartoon legends. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends One of my favourite shows of all time. On par with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, if not more so. Seriously, I loved this. I still do. It was perfect. The Powerpuff Girls I can draw a lot of similarities between this and My Little Pony. It was directed at girls, but it also had a significant male following due to the fact it was actually good, not over the top girly. I guess liking this was the first signs that I would become a brony. SpongeBob SquarePants I absolutely loved this as a kid. It was my favourite show at the time, although the quality dropped after the movie. It lost it's charm. Courage the Cowardly Dog Absolutely genius, even if it was a little creepy. 'Last of the Star Makers' was just beyond beautiful. Dexter's Laboratory I used to watch this all the time. Some real laugh out moments, but one sticks in my mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZuKMo9u8CM Ed, Edd n Edd It was just so weird, it was brilliant. Scooby Doo I'm on about the old ones. Yes, they were repetitive and predictable, but I didn't care, I loved it. Pink Panther The ones with the actual Pink Panther. The detective was funny, but I loved the Panther. Think Pink! I'm only 17, so my 'old school' cartoons may be a bit different to those to those from an older generation, but I'm holding firm to my belief that the 90s was a goldmine for cartoons. It's so hard to find a cartoon made after this period that's any good. Before, those who made cartoons did so for the love of it, not for the money. Now, it's all corporate and just so manufactured. There's no originality, it's just what will get ratings. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic gives me hope, hope that I thought died when Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends stopped running.
Shall the oldest brony speak of his youth now? Verily, I shall! When I was growing up, it was the Dark Ages of cartoons - the 1970's! Everything was "live action"! Electra and Dynagirl, Isis, Shazam, and a few others I can't recall the names of. The only good cartoon I remember from my childhood was Valley of the Dinosaurs. This could be why I kept watching cartoons into the 80's, and 90's. 2000's was a bit of a Dark Age for me, couldn't really spare much time for television, many changes in my life. But my favorites. The real classics, of course - Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry - still make me laugh until I puke sometimes. (Sorry for that image) In the 80's, it was Transformers, Thundercats, the discovery of anime (well, in the form of Robotech, aka, Macross), and into the 90's - Powerpuff Girls, Dexter Lab, Ren & Stimpy, Jonny Bravo - heck in the 90's, I *lived* on Cartoon Network! Oh, there was one good live action show of the 70's - Land of the Lost. 10,000 times better than that movie. And Scoobie Do? Sorry, just never much cared for it. Um, OK, I've written another wall of dialog, sorry about that.
Thundercats. Last and only thing I remember watching before my dad got rid of all the 'premium' channels back when I was in my early elementary school years. Used to just stare at the tv and completely be in a trance.
OH MY GOSH THEY ARE HERE!!! I remember that show got really popular when I was in fifth grade! I was fine with it, and I didn't dislike it, that is until the hard plastic toys got popular. One manged to give me a black eye and scratch my cornea in a freak accident. Ever since then, they have been my foes........Random digression done. Don't take offence.
I love Tom and Jerry, but it always bothered me how much of a jerk Jerry was. In some episodes, Tom wasn't even doing anything, yet Jerry always instigated something (like breaking into the fridge). I will always be on Tom's side.
Tom is the better, by far, character of them too. I kinda like Jerry, but not as much as Tommy. Awesome stuff like this are priceless.
I know! I have seen most of the shows mentioned so far. Dwynter's post threw me off the most, as I don't think a lot of those shows from the 70's survived long enough to still be on air when I was a kid. Also, nice Toki Wartooth reference.
